You haven't even seen it, and as I said, there isn't a tour pro out there that wouldn't have been irritated.

It's just another case of spectators being ****ing ignorant dicks.

How is that any different? He was not in the middle of the swing when the applause started, which again I'm assuming is true because I did not watch the replay. He decided to move forward with his shot at that point. Whatever happens after that is his fault plain and simple. If I'm wrong in my assessment, say otherwise, but from my understanding of the situation as said by ESPN and from what I gather from your posts I am understanding it correctly. You can't tell me "you haven't even seen it" then say nothing to demonstrate why that is leading to my opinion not making sense.

I find it strange that you think the spectator's are ignorant dicks but Tiger is not to blame in this case. If you were to take this line that the spectator's are ignorant dicks, then it should be Tiger the one taking flak for his determining to choose his club at that time. The spectators can only react, they cannot create an opportunity to applaud. Now if what Tiger says is true and he was told Sergio already hit his shot, then why should either Tiger or the spectators be at fault for it?

Sergio's jimmies are rustled because 4 people were following him and 674 were following Tiger.

Did anyone else notice though how Tiger claimed to have been told that Sergio already hit, then RIGHT as Sergio struck the ball he motioned over that way like "Shhh, he's hitting".

There's no way he would have reacted like that had he thought he already hit. He would have been like "wtf was that - I thought he already hit?"

Tiger lying as usual.

I mean what, you would throw up a shocked expression on your face and declare your world to be over or something because someone gave you a wrong piece of information? I don't really get your analysis there. He saw him hitting, so he did what he could to try to alert the crowd.

I mean don't get me wrong I'm not going to blindly defend Tiger for no reason, I just don't really understand where you're coming from with this one.

You're saying he couldn't see Sergio earlier, when he was standing in a spot. And then when he got his club and walked back to the same spot, could now see him? I don't buy it.

OK, let's say Sergio stepped away from his shot when the noise began. (whether or not he was able to do so he only knows, the brain can do odd things when noises occur right before you pull the trigger) Would the actions of the spectators now be any more or less ignorant? No matter how you spin it, they made unnecessary noise while a player in the same group was trying to hit his shot.

And any spectator that screams and applauds in that instance when a player pulls a club has had a lobotomy and shouldn't be on the course in the first place.

It's very common for a player to pull a club while others are playing so long as they do so without clanking the clubs. Spectators cheering such would never be a thought in this process.

It's extremely basic and simple as far as procedure on tour goes. Sergio has a beef, the spectators are at fault, Tiger did nothing wrong.

Its not a big deal but Tiger flat out lied he said The Marshall told me had hit than you see him pointing that Sergio is hitting. Did Tiger do it on purpose? Dont care Is Sergio overreacting? Yup.

Sergio has no credibility in this department. Dude stares at his grooves for like twenty seconds every time he hits a bad chip shot ffs.

I am going to post this is the Sports thread under "rules that should be changed," but I though I would raise it here as well.

I really don't like how tournaments set the final pair based on who posted the lower score first.

For example, we could have Sergio and Tiger go out in the 3rd round at -12, with Jason Dufner in 2nd to last group at -11. Ay the end of the third round Sergio, Tiger and Dufner are all at -14, but Dufner is in the final group on Sunday because he posted -14 ahead of Tiger or Sergio. I would much rather them look at the fact that two guys were tied for the lead after round 2, and are still tied after round 3, with no player having passed them, so they tee off last.

I laughed when Sergio said, in the interview, that he likes to repsect the protocol etc.

I remember him spitting in the golf cup a few years ago. A special treat for the players that followed him.

Most recent good round has a better chance to win because in theory he has more momentum.

Gotta have some way to sort it, is better to go by better 3rd round than better 2nd round or whatever. Should Castro get to tee off last tomorrow amongst all those he is tied with simply because he played better three days prior? I think not.

Seems to me like Harrington has been an even bigger obstacle then Tiger for Sergio. Can't really use the GOAT excuse there.

Where's Jimmy Roberts and the time machine to take us back to 2002 when Sergio stated post-round that the USGA would have stopped play at the '02 US Open if Tiger had been on the course.

Sergio and Tiger both competing and "feuding" as they are calling it can only be good for the game (not for the purists ldo). Personally, I love it.
