Hating Brandel has little to do with Tiger and everything to do with the fact that he's a professional troll who just reaches for reaction. Which, fine, like I said I don't complain about Skip Bayless, I just don't watch him. Brandel is damn near unavoidable if you like golf.

MBN to release a club at impact, find your ball in fairway, and then make eagle

On top of that the ball still went 289 yards

I see my boy El Tigre is having himself a nice round!

Nothing to do with him but I wish they would toughen this course up a bit. Winning score the past few years has been -12 to -16 and this year will be no different. Hard to call yourself "the fifth major" when it scores more like Phoenix than Oak Hill. Yeah, having four reachable par-5s is going to affect scoring (well, the 9th isn't really much of an eagle opp but it doesn't have much peril either) and that's great but they could grow the rough and firm up the greens a little. Love the layout but want to see more players punished for being out of position.

There are some legit tough holes - the 3rd, 8th, 14th, and 18th come to mind - but in between are a lot of laydowns.

Lee Westwood making a charge. Can't wait for him to be in contention on Sunday and 3-putt three times to end up T5.

Course needs a total makeover. Been outdated, borderline gimmicky for awhile

Nah. Sergio clearly winning this, then we get to have another delightful discussion about whether he has turned a corner in his career and will be able to parlay this into major championship wins, which of course we all know he will not.

Don't forget more discussion about whether this should be the 5th major.

"Sergio hasn't won a major but he's won THIS on twice now and many people call this the unofficial 5th major."

Pause. "So is Sergio a hall of famer?"

Good birdie for Tiger to finish with. Overall Id guess he is happy with his round. Castro birdies 2 and does not look like he is going to be backing down

Castro o/u 77?

Also, so funny that they were just explaining what an elite field this is and then they show Robert Allenby, who I think has made one cut this year. What, David Duval, Jon Daly and Jason Gore had weddings to attend this weekend?

Robert Allenby being there makes the field more elite than if he weren't there. DUCY?

Sometimes I think Stricker has never hit a wedge shot that didn't finish inside 10 feet.
