ntnBO is also an egregious user of "less" where he should say fewer. But he won't learn because he has me on ignore.

Is that a grammatically correct sentence?

Kenny Perry will be remembered for loving The Hartford way too much and Transitions lenses.

Yep had Perry won those two tournaments we would think of him a lot differently.

good point i saw on doug ferguson's twitter is that this will be the smallest masters field since 2006: the main reason is tiger winning 5 times since the last masters and denying others a shot.

Apparently we are at 92 runners and the winner in San Antonio will make it 93 if he is not already exempt.

Damn. I could almost make the cut with that small of a field.

Minor nit, this is not poker, golf tournaments do not use the term runners. Especially the Masters, if he was still alive Clifford Roberts would be removing your IP address from all Masters information.

Cut is low 44 and ties, so basically the same ratio as your average PGA Tour event.

When you trust your swing, which is a mental characteristic of a swing, you swing better.

Players who trust their GPS number will be more likely to trust their swing. I've experienced this first hand on many occasions.
I know this debate is long over, but I saw this in another thread and thought it would be relevant, although kinda mean I guess:

I'm 45 and have been playing since I was 9. I chipped in for birdie on the 2nd hole and never looked back.

Have never shot or broke 80

2 years ago, I played 36 at Santa Clara Muni. 81, 81. The next day, I played 18 at San Jose Muni. 81.

Over the course of the following two weeks, I shot 96, 92, 87, 95 and have not played since.

This happens to me every 4th year or so. Last time I was stuck on 83 and didn't play for 3 years following.

****ing head case game.

I don't think I need to add anything more than a "Just sayin'."

This is not a minor nit lol.

We're on a god damn poker forum. We all know what he meant. And you should give people more credit. I guarantee he knows golf tournaments don't use the term.

Would you correct a stranger irl if you heard them say that?

A couple of notes, Kokrak's double on 18 cost him $80-90k, a figure that could matter in this shortened season in terms of keeping his card. Wheatcroft now has to drive from Houston to San Antonio and tee it up in the Monday qualifier. Good luck with that, would be nice if he got a last minute exemption.

Shame to see how he finished.

He was a beast at Xavier U and tore up a lot of the local tourneys around here.

It would be both nice and funny given the message/tweet he sent after Rory entered the tournament. Not that a joke alone should merit a sponsor's exemption but on the Saturday broadcast they kept referring to what a great interview he was, and the Tour can use all the personality it can get.

Stop pretending you can comprehend ratios.

The Masters cut is clearly easier to make bc they only cut 48 guys. Way less than normal Tour events.

It's also easier to make the cut @ Augusta when you see guys like Ben Crenshaw, Mike Weir, Sandy Lyle, and Larry Mize in the field.

Listing Weir with the rest of those gummers is pretty harsh but I'm on board since I'm still pissed he stole the 2003 Masters from the ultimate everyman, Lenny Mattiace.

That was the only time since 1986 that I recall them putting the Sunday flag back right on 18. Hoping they do it again this year.

Hmmm, trying to mentally review this. Don't remember 2008 but it's been front left every other year since Weir. Was back left in both 1991 and 1992.
