Mucksandgrav who has had a better career? Luke Donald with no major or Todd Hamilton the 1 major wonder? Its all about majors right? Surely it has to be Hamilton

I tried this a couple of pages before you did. Predictably, no one responded. The "majors are the only thing that matters" line of thought is a clear and obvious cherry pick - it's only used as an argument when someone wants to defend Jack Nicklaus.

People aren't saying they are equivalent. They're saying that X# of majors don't completely outweigh Y# of "regular" tournaments when X is like 1/10th of Y. They're also saying that there are several "regular" tournaments which aren't as prestigious as the majors, and don't have as much media pressure surrounding them, but do have stronger fields.

I'm not ignoring all other arguments. I know and understand the argument you're making for Tiger, but IMO, obviously not yours(don't get butt hurt), majors are the biggest factor in this whole deal.

Therefore, when there is someone that hasnt surpassed the other in the most important category, that is enough for me to hold off(for now) on crowning him.

I literally don't understand how Steve Stricker hits the ball as far (relatively) and straight as he does without hinging his wrists at all and sweeping the ball off the fairway instead of taking a divot.

it's not really real golf but watching pros hit cart paths and seeing the ball bounce crazy large into stupid spots is one of my fav things about watching golf.

Luke is 10x the golfer then Hamilton. the list of players with one major is endless. the list of players with multiple major sis quite a bit shorter.
