Last night I was gonna say the GOAT was gonna GOAT -18 the last 3 rounds but I didn't want to jinx him. Now I'll jinx him to see how GOAT he really is.
I don't mind Johnny Miller. He seems to offer more insight than anyone else. Maybe a lot of crap comes along with that but he doesn't spout cliches like everyone else or mumble and ramble like SIR NICK.
An example is I was watching the 2011 Fed Ex Cup replay recently and immediately upon Haas hitting his approach on 17 halfway into the water, Miller saw the lie and started talking about how he can definitely save this if he hits it the right way. Other guy thought he was dead but Miller kept his head straight and just discussed how he needs to hit it and that he can definitely get up and down - though tough it may be. Haas would go on to hit a beautiful save shot and win the Cup on the next hole.
I'm willing to put up with some egomania for quality insight like this. Faldo never says anything like this - he'll just see a bad shot and start saying "Ewwwwww das not good ees it mate? I think he's chewing his gum a leetle harder or squeezin that club a leetle too firm. Hee's nerves are definitely gettin' to him mate." Just completely useless crap.
Anyone know how the scoring adjustment works for the PGA average stat? Tiger came into the tourney with a 0.15 stroke lead over Stricker. If you add yesterday's round to both their scores, Tiger's lead is 0.013. But I have no idea how the adjustment works.
PGA Tour commissioner Tim Finchem says spectators alerting officials to possible player violations is "difficult and awkward." Should gallery and TV viewers be allowed to do this?
Tiger with a fantastic birdie for back to back. 195 out of the rough to 15 ft and makes the putt. -5 on the day. Here he comes! Hope the leaders suck hard today
pretty funny how a lot of people ITT said tiger was done when all he had to do to get back into this tourney is exactly what he's doing.... go out and shoot 4-6 under and he's right back in line
