Does anyone follow Norm Macdonald on twitter? His golf live blogging is either hilarious or infuriating depending on your personality.

Also, probably can go ahead and lock this one up for TW. 17 greens today and ripping driver in the fairway? Not even fair.

I don't follow MacDonald on twitter but he's one of my favorite comedians/talk show guests.

How is his liveblogging?

I think it's NASCAR where, when they are interviewing the winning driver, one of the crew members is constantly changing his hat from one sponsor to another. Golfers should do that.

Ranges from pure gold to complete garbage. Still worth the follow for sure.

True, he's only 3 back.

(Sergio will be out after tomorrow. Stenson can't win. Castro will crumple under the pressure.)

I could see Boo Weekley doing that

Can we talk web/pga playoffs here? Good story brewing for Patrick Cantlay, after missing last weeks web.com cut missing out on his card has the lead in 1st event. I am also curious to see where the 25 cards go. (What tour brings in the most cards,web.com or the Pga)

I'd be interested in this if they ever explained what the implications of the tournament are.

Cantlay was supposed to be the next big thing a couple years ago. Seems like his progress has stalled a bit. He's definitely been usurped by Spieth in that department.

Implications of the tournament are. Not sure what you mean there.
It's 4 tournaments between top 75 web.com (25 of them already Pga card holders) and 126-200 from Pga. The top 25 leading the money list after the four events will earn a card.

Thanks. So what are the top 25 playing for if they already earned their card? Just money?

So when this is all done, how many players will get their card? 25-40? Are some conditional?

Yes the money and to improve their status. Lets say the web.com guy ranked 25th if he plays well in these four events it might get him into a couple more events than his 25th finish on web would get him on Pga tour for next year.
25 will get cards when this is done and let's say some of the top 25 web guys finish in the top 25 of these four it will go to the next available guy on money list not holding a card for next year.

The Pga guys say 126-150 if they don't get a card they still have some status for next year on Pga maybe 7-8 starts somewhere.

50 cards total for Pga available 25 of which come from top 25 web.com. Which season is over and done. Know they are bringing together top 75 web guys and 126-200 pga fighting for only 25 available cards.

It's basically 125 guys fighting for 25 cards. The other 25 guys already have their cards and are just playing to improve their status on the PGA next year.

I think Spieth is far better but Cantlay has been suffering with back problems for a while now and missed the majority of this season
