If Spieth could take DL3's career (20 wins, 1 major, 2 Players, lifetime exemption) right now, would he?
Do you realize how rare 20 wins is?
List of active PGA pros with 20 or more wins:
Tiger
Phil
Vijay
DL3
(Vijay and DL3 are "active", but neither have won since 2008).
Only Els is close, with 19. Next highest is Furyk with 16.
One would be foolish to be offered "one of the 4 best active careers" and not take it. There isn't an active pro with 5 or more wins (besides the 4 listed above, ldo) who shouldn't take it except Rory (24 yo, 6 wins) and maybe Dustin Johnson (29 yo, 7 wins). Spieth is really too young to tell, though.
