Well that's not good. Maybe he got all the bad stuff out of his system. We'll see what tomorrow brings.

Shocking today though. Only -1 for his round while everyone else was shooting super low. Prob cost him another W.

Was fun to watch with the wind today.

This course is super unique, its basically Augusta with rough. Super wide fairways and big, undulating greens. Would kill to watch a major setup with tight fairways and stupid hard greems. Unlike, say, Merion or Shinnecock or Olympic, they wouldn't have to trick it up. It would just be really ****ing hard.

I'm honestly surprised the course doesn't get more consideration to host a PGA or US Open (a la Congressional)

It would definitely be a great test with a major setup. 18 would make for some good theater with a Major title on the line.

If has hosted a Ryder Cup and is the site of this year's President's Cup. Not majors but notable regardless. Also, 18 may be one of the least interesting holes on the course. It's not awful but doesn't stand out on a track full of memorable holes. It's like Augusta in that regard.

Unless they change the hole numbering for this year's PC as they sometimes do, 14-16 should make for some great late match drama.

Why doesn't it get US Open / PGA consideration? You'd think it would be almost ideally suited

The par fives suck and can't really be altered to par fours for one. Agree 18 isn't very exciting when you have guys hitting irons to the corner because there really isn't a sane place to try and fit a driver.

I haven't watched much this week but I think the course looks small and dated. Looks awesome for normal guys to play, but the modern bombers just make all the holes look small to me. But again, I haven't watched much so I may have missed most of the course. I know it's been windy, but when I saw Tiger and a few others hitting iron on 18 I lol'd.

Any yes, the obvious reason I haven't watched at all is Tiger isn't in it and yawn Kuch. But my man crush Chappell being in the hunt will get me to tune in if he gets close to the lead late. He is a stud. /endgayrant

I thought the course was beefed up some this year for the Presidents Cup. Just because Keenan and Colaserts were carrying 330 over some of the fairway bunkers doesn't mean that they're out of play for the other pros. Or that they wouldn't be in play for everyone in the fall. If the course plays stout enough as a 72 there really isn't any need to turn the 5's into 4's

The Memorial being so close to the US Open means they would probably have to cancel Jack's tournament to give the course to the USGA.

One big difference with Augusta is that Augusta has a lot more closely mown chipping areas the players can end up in, whereas very few shots that miss the green here miss the deep rough. You need to be able to hit great flops here but I don't think the greens lend themselves to creativity in the short game the way some of the green complexes at Augusta do.

Just have to do it….Tiger so GOAT that even we he's in last place he gets one of the last Tee Times of the day (off the back but who cares).

Anyways, looks like 3 domes today must be rain in the forecast, I think Kuch will probably roll with this one but a pretty decent leader board for sure.

Yeah, thats why I don't think they will play a PGA or US Open here. Jack wants his own tournament.
