It must have sucked to shank a ball on 18 with a huge crowd watching. At least the ball didn't go in the water and he was able to make the bogey putt.

I am so enormously glad that Easter falls on the shell Houston open and not The Masters. Nothing worse than being around 2 dozen drunk non-golf fans and trying to watch the back 9 at Augusta.

People will remember John Daly long after they forget about Perry

This. Luckily we have easter at my wife's parents house and her dad eats, breathes, and sleeps golf. We pretty much got to watch the Masters last year in peace. Me, him, and one other guy. Every once in a while someone would walk up to us and go "What is this?" "Who is that?" "You guys really watch golf?" "Why are you watching this?" "Wow this is exciting." "Is Tiger playing?" etc.

We were eating lunch at a table with like 20 people when Louis made his albatross and the 3 of us screamed and all the women, children, and guys who suck were like "ZOMG, what happened? Jeeeeez. Calm down guys."

STFU LOUIS JUST ALBATROSSED AT THE MASTERS ON SUNDAY

Stricker's game within the past 5 or 6 years has improved dramatically. When its all said and done, Ide take JD over both of them especially if Stricker never won another tournament.

But you see, its kind of hard to speculate that strickers career is over. JD's on the other hand is over.(i know he still plays, but hes not a threat to win). If stricker wins another 5 or 6 tournaments, which i think he will do, you cant put him in this category. On the other hand, you can put John Daly and Kenny Perry's career up against each other and I'm taking JD's all day.

Winning the Open at the Old Course has to be the highest reward in all of golf, right?*

He did that, which is pretty cool. I bet a lot of pros would love to have done that. Every 5 years they get their stab at it.

What I mean is if I was a pro I think I would covet an Open C'ship at St. Andrews the most, followed by Augusta. Then, who knows.

They'll remember him for all his stupidity. Many of the casual fans I've met who spout the LOLZ I LOVE ME SOME BIG JOHN DALY rhetoric couldn't even tell you about the 91' PGA/95' Open.

You just said the same thing repeatedly without providing any logic for it, other than your already-stated belief that the majors are everything.

my comments about Stricker's career booming within the past 5 or 6 years...

here are his earnings since the year 2000

2000 0 418,780 113
2001 1 1,676,229 30
2002 0 789,713 88
2003 0 150,590 188
2004 0 440,906 151
2005 0 397,640 162
2006 0 1,811,811 34
2007 1 4,663,077 4
2008 0 2,438,304 22
2009 3 6,332,636 2
2010 2 4,190,235 5
2011 2 3,992,785 8
2012 1 3,420,021

Strick isn't done yet and trying to compare his career to JD's is biased.

None of this changes the fact that more people will remember JD's career over Kenny Perry. that was your own dumbass fault for putting their careers against each other, regardless of whether people will remember him for winning 2 majors or b/c of his ability to make a 14 on a hole.

This isnt true in the golfing world. The general public may remember Daly but that is just for the lols. Its not for his golf game

Good stuff. Wanna see his game in good form going into the Masters so Tiger can crush him on the back 9 sunday lol. But in all seriousness the Masters is better with Phil in contention. Of course I wont get to watch any of this golf today though
