You going out at all over the weekend?
No just went yesterday. You should seriously make a trek to the John Deere or some regional event if you can. Go stag if you have to - you'd love it.
The course here is in immaculate condition. Everything looks like carpeting. The 1-1/4" "rough" is really sweet too. It's very firm underneath.
Rory crushed a drive through a dogleg left. He yelled "fore right!" which was funny because he mashed it straight but by hitting through the dogleg it was technically right of the fairway. There's no way anyone way out there heard him, I think it hit someone or flew over their heads.
But yeah getting to stand like 8 feet behind them while teeing off and seeing them pipe it straight with a ball flight that starts low then just slowly pierces upward is beautiful. I stood like 3 feet behind Bill Haas while he cleaned his cleat out with his tee. He's taller than he looks on TV.
I was surprised on every shot in which the players had a tight lie with a close pin location and nothing between them and the flag (Dustin and Rory on approaches to the par 5 green) I thought they'd bump and run it and they flopped it off that tight lie to 1-3 feet. Very impressive.
