John Daly recorded his 15th career double digit score on a hole today. (us tour only)

when will people stop giving him sponsor's exemptions? or i guess this is why. he still is beating mike weir though.

I wonder if there's any other current long term player who has recorded more than 3. There are probably people who have played a significant number of Tour events who have 0.

Would love to see KJ Choi ship.

I'm going to guess that Phil has more than his fair share of double-digit holes.

On the golf channel today Steve Flesch said the worst score he ever took on any hole as a pro was a 7.

Kevin Na's recent 16 on the par 4 9th at TPC San Antonio is still the WOAT to my knowledge.

It's hard to make a 10 as a pro. The two worst final hole debacles I've seen in my lifetime, Jean Van de Velde and Kyle Stanley, were only a 7 and 8 respectively. Mere triples.

EDIT: Honorable mention to Robert Garrigus putting 2 balls in the hazard with the lead on the 72nd hole in Memphis, also for a triple bogey 7.

There's no way it's anywhere near 15. It's pretty difficult to put up a 10-spot.

I'd be willing to bet Phil has never had a 10+ on tour. I don't know for certain, but almost always a tour player has to lose his head to hit double digits.

John Daly made an 18 at Bay Hill one year. Seem to remember he made a birdie 2 on the very next hole.

He made an 11 at Pebble:

That article also mentions Daly's 18.

And for honorable mention, a 9 on a par 4 at the Scottish Open:

Heh heh. Just a joke son.

The is some truth to this. When it's snowy in the middle of winter I definitely play a lot more golf video games because I cannot play golf.

True.

Also Na's 16 was legit. Once he decided not to take an unplayable lie and re-tee hitting three, he was locked in to getting the ball out of the woods with swings. as "as far back on the line between the ball and pin" was just deeper and deeper in the woods.

I love watching Na's 16 on youtube. Gotta love his attitude walking with his caddy laughing counting the shots.

University of Texas has a lot of money. Also I think this tourney is really thin with talent and so they were trying to showcase the young guns. They also showcased Dufner a lot this week but he kept missing putts yesterday.

These greens must be brutal. Never seen this many <10 footers being missed or people 3 putting from very, very close.

Sergio or Dufner should have run away with this thing but both kept ****ing up on the greens.

At least the leaderboard has shaped up to make it a reasonably interesting afternoon.

Oh and they just showed a replay of Tiger's hat-slam putt at Bay Hill. Haters sure were furious about that gesture. HOW DARE HE THROW HIS CAP TO THE GROUND
