I agree and I'm just saying that they do it to just about anyone and everyone.

Everyone looks like little boys sitting in the principal's office sitting in those high chairs when they break down the swings

Posting to find out what's going at the Pebble Beach tournament. Is that Snedeker guy still playing?

I don't think so. I think Chris Berman had him removed from the course by some thugs who work for Disney.

I think it's pretty awesome that Faldo is doing nothing but ripping on these hacks' swings - especially Berman. This is painful to watch.

Agree with all of the above, the celeb garbage makes this almost unwatchable.

I'm so sick of all the whining about celebrities during PB. It's the whole point of the tournament. You know this. Why are you watching if it bothers you this much?

Just skip the ****ing week and tune in next weekend.

No one is whining, most people are making a couple of minor, short comments about televised golf, which is the point of this thread.

Most of us seem willing to put up with the celebrity stuff if more actual pro golf was mixed in. They're showing next-to-none.

I don't like it when they take my favorite sport to watch on TV and make it unwatchable. Sorry.

I understand that this is a pro-am and its always like this, so it's pointless to complain. But I can't think if a more appropriate place to vent my opinion about it than here.

Tomorrow should be good since they are kicking about 80% of the hacks off the course.

No, actually - pretty much everyone ITT is whining.

Which is how it always is for the 3 first rounds on PB, and how it's probably always going to be. And anyone who's been paying any attention knows this. And still, there's a ton of whining all over about amateurs (who are still better than most of those complaining will ever be) showing up on their screens.

I can't wait to watch the NFL with the CFO of Geico playing safety and the board of directors for GE as the offensive line.

There nothing more exciting about golf than watching corporate guys playing.

is it part of the contract to always show pebble?
too expensive to have cameras at all the courses. they have hand cameras at the other two for some footage.

LOL at you guys that are whining about the amateurs getting too much camera time. They only do it at this event. you won't see any ams on camera tomorrow unless its watching their pro. FWIW Chris O'Donnell has the best swing I watched. Oliver Hudson is a pretty poor 2 capper albeit its only one swing I saw. Berman is ridiculous. just awful. Condy looking pretty nice. do you think she showers up at Augusta with the old bluebloods after the sunday four-ball?

For how extremely horrific Berman's ball striking looks, his results aren't nearly as terrible. I keep thinking he's not an 18 but maybe he is. Though I still doubt it because his putting was horrendous.

Never under-estimate how easy it is for some people who play golf regulary and suck have an 18 handicap. Almost anyone can hack the ball up to a green GIR+1 and two putt or something. I've seen some incredibly bad swings in my time and they have an 18-22 handicap or something and you wonder how the hell they break 100 lol...

That's basically what I was getting at. My swing is for sure way better than Berman's but my cap is 28. I thought he was lying but even with his god-awful form it seemed like a lot of his results were better than mine lol. So maybe he really is an 18. Or at least was within the last 5-10 years.

I thought these Pro ams had a handicap restriction of better than 18 or 20. That is why you see a bunch of them with questionable handocaps

I'm pretty sure in general I have heard people say their handicap is 18 about 100x more often than 19. I think they want to claim "bogey golf" when they may be anywhere from a 19-23 or so. You always see 18 claimed as a handicap. Almost NEVER 19 (or worse).

Lucky he didn't hurt his wrists trying to brace the fall.

Anyway, now that the "whining" has ceased, back to real golf. Go Snedeker
