I couldn't believe how awesome it was the first time I went. I plan on going to the SHO every year. Looking forward to seeing Rory up close this year.
Golf on TV is fun but I seriously hate about 80% of the commentary. Every time the following conversation occurs I die a little:
"This putt's gotta break left, huh? I mean I'm guessing it's inside right or maybe just off the right edge."
"I don't know, I don't see a whole lotta break in it."
"I was walking this green last night and I think there's more break to this putt than I'd realized."
"Well let's see how he puts it."
"Ope, he missed it. Good line, just didn't hit it."
"How do you leave that putt short?"
For starters, you stand around for 15 minutes to see 3 shots (or two depending on day of the week).
Additionally, you miss all the action on other holes and are pretty 'out-of-the-loop' as to what is going on.
There is definitely an electricity and energy on-site that can't be replicated through a television, but I much prefer to be on my couch watching all of the action unfold.
