Well at least we got to see the rest of the course, now back to 16 for the rest of the day, not that I'm complaining a whole lot though.

Why? Fist pumping is one thing. Rolling and falling all over the green while plenty of golfers have yet to putt on the hole is a bit ridiculous.

yea, Ricky and Dufner were clearly appalled, rolling on the green is obviously so much worse than all their spike marks, lipouts for 59's happen all the time, so they shoulda been pretty pissed

I don't care what he lipped out for it's called etiquette. I'll assume you've never played in a golf match or tournament with actual meaning outside of a drunken captain's choice. A potential 59 is awesome yea we get it but it doesn't give you the right to fall and roll around on the green when other golfers have yet to come through.

Under most circumstance it would certainly be poor etiquette, but this was a unique spontaneous exception. He was only on his hands and knees, not making snow angels. And as firm as these desert greens are, it's unlikely he even made a mark.

And Bones is one of the top 5 caddies on tour, he's got the respect of his peers. It's not an issue although he will get ribbed about it for a while.

yea, that's why the other 2 professionals on the green were perfectly fine with it and laughing along...you could show that clip to every player in the tourny and not one would say they have a problem with it considering what was going on

at least they are smart enough, unlike yourself, to realize that 1) it's an extremely rare circumstance and Phil and Bones have been together forever and are great friends, 2) it's the WM tourny, 3) rolling on the green does nothing relative to walking around the green with spikes

No one cares except a few folks such as yourself that are wound entirely too tight. Bones has been with Phil for about 20 years. LOL @ him being able to restrain his emotion on that lipout. Dude's been grinding for a long ass time and he's never got to caddy for a competitive round 59. And Phil's already in the golf HOF. This isn't some scrub caddy who has been with a fringe pro for 6 months doing the worm on the green.

The course is definitely not hard, but it sure as hell ain't as easy as the scores they shoot. Those guys are just ridiculously good.
