2nd one. Assuming it is just round to round scoring and you're not trying to pick a winner.

Yeah, it is round by round scoring (0.2 for every par, 1.0 for every birdie, 2.0 for every eagle, -0.6 for every bogey, -1.6 for every double+ and then bonuses for 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5-10, 11-25, and 26-50).....Super high scores can kill you. I usually play this more conservative in events where there is cut because obviously losing 36, 72 or 108 holes on a guy that misses the cut is huge but without a cut I am kinda confused about optimal strategy....

Also as betting odds were talked about I took the following on 5dimes:

Bubba Watson 70-1 (like him on any Par 72; if, and I know it's a big if, the putter can get going just a little above average, he wins this. Too good a ballstriker right now)

Kuchar 44-1 (good track record here obviously, good putter, has good enough length, rough won't be a problem for his flat swing, and just always seems to be around on Sunday)

Mahan 36-1 (he has been playing very well this year from tee to green; hoping that the Ping Nome he has just put in the bag and used at the Matchplay will stay hot for him)

I took Noh 30-1 for the Puerto Rico Open as well. In a shallow field I think this represents value as I have him one of the favorites here and the odds at 30-1 do not indicate such.

glglgl run goooooooood.

Is Dufner at 140/1 good value?

I like Snedeker (70/1) and Wilson (100/1) at those odds.

Dufner and Wilson are good sleepers. It's ridiculous that Wilson has longer odds than Baddeley, Fowler, or Jacobson, among others.

Bae also seems like value here.

Also, LOL at winless Jeff Overton having the shortest odds in Puerto Rico. Keep an eye on Ishikawa there, even though I wouldn't bet him. I believe he's motivated to get his PGA tour card, and he won't have a better chance than this week to beat up on as weak a field as you will ever see. Plus, he just got his special invite into the Masters this week, so that's one thing he won't be worrying about.

This seems good to me as well. I think of Doral as mostly a bomber's course, but the oddsmakers seem to not be asking a premium for guys like Watson or Quiros.

That would seem to favor the tour's leader in total driving

Anyone else find it odd that Mickelson, Keegan, and Dustin all played Augusta yesterday? Seems like a strange thing to do the day before a big WGC event rather than get some practice in on the course the tournament is on.

That's pretty standard for Phil I believe. Generally a trip up around this time, and then again the Mon/Tues of Houston. The most interesting thing to me was that TW was supposed to join them but had a last minute conflict of some sort.

Yea I know Phil gets lots of practice rounds in at Augusta, just the day before an event seemed weird. Monday/Tuesday would seem more normal.

Tiger starting right where he left off. Nice little 355 yard poke down the middle. Then to 2 feet on the first from 180, putt for eagle.

the reason they played yesterday is cause the only thing that matters in the next 60 days is the masters.
