There was a drop zone hidden behind some trees to the right. I didn't know that (first time at this course) until my re-tee sliced into the woods on the right and I was over looking for it. I totally ****ed up that hole but my third attempt was from the drop-zone. This was one of their "signature" holes and it was really tight so do all oob shots get re-teed from the drop zone? For instance if you tried to drop a ball on the left side near the water you really would have had a horrible lie with twigs all over the ground and trees and only limited room to even have for your backswing. Me and my friend were trying to figure out if all penalty shots should have been from the drop zone or not. This will help to know for the future.

I can't say I have a perfect grasp on the rules yet, but stuff like this has always been awesome to me. Think it stemmed from liking "you make the call" as a kid.

for the cart path you take your stance and address off the path and where the clubhead lies at address is your relief point. you then get a club length from there. If the ball rolls outside of 2 club lengths or nearer the hole you redrop. If it does it again you place it where the ball landed on the drop. No penalty.

For the second I would need to see it but the point it crossed the hazard is the entry point, but you can always replay your shot with a one stroke penalty. For anything....

Have just spent the last two days helping strangers clean up after the floods here in Australia. My golf course is still very wet, have had carts on the course 4 days out of the last 47.But seeing these poor people who have lost everything helps keep things in perspective.Has been uplifting to see the outpouring of help from the whole country. We have been suffering from a horrible drought for 10 years and now we get washed away.Mother nature has a warped sense of humour.Peace.

trip was unbelievable, huge fan of the resort and the courses - forgot what four rounds of january golf does to one's body after two months of not swinging a club - heading to grand cypress in february, should be able to move by then

Yeah, it's a beautiful place. I've only played copperhead, but all of them are supposed to be top notch, island especially. Weather wasn't all that great though was it? It's been cold(fla standards) here for a few weeks. Sat it warmed up a bit and yesterday was gorgeous.

This old timer tour(county golf) is going to innisbrook north on Thurs. I kinda wanted to play, but at the same time I don't b/c it's all old people. This entire area is old people!

Weather was fine, coming from the Philly area where it's like 3 degrees or whatever. No rain and for the most part no wind, mild temps in low 60's to low 70's, really solid for booking this 7 weeks in advance - only time it kind of sucked was when we left the condo to play South on Saturday around noon it was bright and sunny around 70 - sometime around the 8th hole the sun went behind the clouds and the wind picked up and we (and the other out of towners obv) were stuck out there freezing our asses off in short sleeves and shorts. Played Island yesterday morning, much different from Copperhead and was a real treat.

Golftown has a ball special on for the next 4 days. Buy 2 dozen get the third dozen free. (prov1's excluded obvi) They have also reduced the price on Srixon z-star/x to 29/dozen, so you can get them for 20/dozen with this special. A very nice price.
I think they ship to the states too.

He was asked about how proud his father would be in the press conference, so I'm sure that'll get mentioned once or twice during the NBC telecast

Googling around for her led to this, which I think might be relevant to the forums interests:
