I agree with slim and I also have a thread in health and fitness forum. His is more on point. Mine is much more haphazardly structured.

Bodyweight exercises like squats(with assorted arm positions as you get better at it ) lunges pushups and back bridges are only thing I would add to his recommendations.

Here you go...I don't have a lot of golf in there yet...mostly weight loss and my workouts but golf is coming now that we are in spring.

I would say my workouts are 90% general fitness and 10% golf specific stuff. Just lift heavy ****...put it down...pick it back up again.

I've done an absolute ton of heavy rotational cable work this winter, murdering the ball.

What?!?! Is everything shutdown? I hope it doesn't happen again in Michigan.

Yesterday our premier made the announcement for this new 5 week phase of lockdown that we're heading into. Non essential shopping back to curbside only, police have new powers to stop anyone and question why they aren't home, playgrounds and other outdoor activities like golf ordered to shut down. He actually renegged on the playgrounds and parks today after a ton of backlash.

It sucks and despite golf being pretty safe, I guess I sorta understand. Not all golfers go straight to the course and back home. They might stop somewhere for food, gas and other errands and add traffic to the roads, etc.

Kinda sad news, one of my courses is going to be shutting down from mid-May to Labor day for greens replacement. Must be some kind of re-sodding if they are only going to be closed that long.

Really bad news is that my Tuesday and Thursday first off group is going to get the shaft for tee times. We always play opposite of another group of 3 or 4 tee times but on days when one course is closed we always get put behind them. They are old and have been there longer. Teeing off at 730a compared to 810a makes a world of difference especially since I need to start work when I am done.

They damn well better start letting people tee off at around 6:30am instead of the normal 7:30am.

Oh they are *******s that think they run the joint. I'm sure you know the type. On the days we get there early and go out first they intentionally break up into groups of three and put their fastest players first just to try and catch us. I have seen them just walk up on the green and immediately pick up just to try and catch us.

I'm def going to have to talk to the head pro about what is going to happen this summer. I don't get the big deal letting us go 15 minutes early. We don't hold anybody up and we don't catch maintenance ahead of us.

Had a KVest session this morning which provided TONS of data. A lot of fun though the results were not surprising. Presented the more interesting data as it relates to my swing in my H&F if anyone is interest/wants to comment. Have a ton more data if anyone wants to see some of that.

WOW!! I know the type, but not THAT type lol. My father-in-law is hyper competitive with his brothers about who shows up at the course first. He has always been an early riser and has been known to get up at 4:00 a.m. in order to beat his brothers to the course. What you are describing is beyond petty.

If golf was a driving range I would be a +5 handicap. Is there a driving range tour I can join? Maybe I just need to video my range sessions and play them on repeat to drill into my head that I can take that swing to the course.

Cool, let’s play a driving range game straight up. How much were you thinking per shot?

But yeah, I think we all know that frustration.

I was curious to see if there might be a good drill video on Youtube that would help with compressing the ball on iron shots. Turns out there are 15,000 such videos. Anyone have someone they particularly recommend? I'm not terribly well informed with regard to instructors, haven't taken a lesson or done much swing work in many years.

Both are great. Good Walk is mostly about guys already on tour and their back stories, Q school is about guys trying to get on tour and their backstories set during all phases of Q school.

We had a couple of golf get togethers here in the DFW area. Me, ship, spenda, westhoff, zbhorton have gotten together as well as the one time tuq was here from AZ. Good times. The threads are still here. Search for DFW golf and Tuq’s travel thread.

A Good Walk Spoiled is the OG, so I'd go with that one.

i'm reading a quick preview version of Tales from Q School and had to quickly google this Joe Daley putt that Feinstein mentions as there is no way it could have been as brutally unlucky as described.

OMG I don't think I've ever seen anything like it. And that putt kept him from getting his card. BRUTAL.

So getting back into my golf over the past month after not playing for a few years and thought I search youtube for some tips, Came across of what I think is a great little channel.

Less of Club should be here, Turn Like this etc and more of free, Natural and effortless. I thought I'd share it because I know from my experience when I used to play I was so bogged down on swing thoughts.

Let us know what you guys think would love to get some opinions from the more experience golfers on here.
