Lets hear it. Or post in on Youtube. I mostly suck out of the stand. I have a "low bounce" 58 that I use out of the sand, maybe that's a problem? I also come at it from the inside, shoulders pointed right and hook it, which they say is terrible for sand shots. I obviously try not do do this out of the sand, but I admittedly have very okay and very terrible sand days.
The thing I came on here to talk about
: Iron distances. You guys out there and on all these golf Vlogs I've been obsessed with since the quarantine are hitting your irons super far. 170 yard 7 irons and such. I don't really care about being "long" per se, but I definitely hit my 7-irons and less better than I hit my 5-irons and more, so I'd much rather be hitting shorter clubs from longer distances.
I'm a 4 handicap, I hit my driver far enough... 280ish calm/flat drivers, 225 calm/flat 5 woods.... by my 7-iron goes 150(maybe 153ish), my 6-iron 160(maybe 163ish), my 5-iron 170(maybe 173ish), etc.
The only thing I can really figure is that I am playing Titleist AP2 710 Irons from 2010. The 7-iron is a 35 degree loft according to the internet, when some newer model irons are sometimes as low as 27 degrees and often around 31 degrees or so. Is this a possible answer as to why I'm not hitting my irons as far as you nerds?
