Words and pictures can't do this place justice. You've just got to see it in person. I can't believe there are 67 courses ranked higher.

We didn't play the South course. We drove by and it looked like an open field. We decided to pull in and look around and it wasn't very impressive. Add in that it costs only currently $25 less than the Bluffs and we saw no reason to spend that money there. Heavily overpriced. We played another course closer to home. I guess they are taking advantage of their name, but business must be good. They're building a brand new clubhouse.

The prices go up from $110 memorial day rate to I think $235 in a few days. I'd still pay that to play it. It was spectacular.

Always wanted to go there but it's on my work schedule for late October every year. Weather not so good then.

The last time I played Arcadia we went off at 3:00 or whenever it was that twilight started. Saved a few bucks dunno if they still do it.

Starting 6/3, rates are $215 for 18 and $140 for twilight after 4pm. Twilight looks like a good deal alright. Someone at another course we played said the rates went up from $175 to $215 this year. I haven't been able to confirm that.

The ground was awfully hard and very difficult to take a divot. Hurt my wrist a couple times trying.

How much do you tip the kids that clean your clubs at the end of the round? Mine usually don't need it since I clean them as I go, but sometimes I'll have them do it anyway or sometimes they are so aggressive that they get started before I even leave the cart and notice.

I give them $5, not sure what most people do or what is expected.

I'm not sure either. The first time I wanted to give them $5 for both bags; mine was already clean, but they didn't have change for a $10. It started to rain and I had dinner reservations so you get no tip. Sorry. I planned to get change later and give it to them. Nope. I forgot. Next day nobody had change either. I guess they're working the soft hustle. This time they got the $10 though.

I always give $2 to the cart barn when they drive up with my cart. I give $2 as well at courses that clean clubs. Probably 7 times out of 10 I just say they don't need cleaning though.

Course is such a mess. Raining again today. Was basically a monsoon the other night. Rained 1 inch in 15 minutes

The courses have been a soggy mess here all season long. Cart path only and I seem to always hit it on the wrong side of the fairway!

Very moist over here. Cart path only driving me nuts. No end in sight to the rain either.

We were actually off path for the last week or 2. April was basically a mud pit every day

Me and my cousin used to play a game where closest to the path moves the ball 15 yards forward and farthest moves 15 yards back when it was CPO.

Same here. Path only but it's only the first 5 holes here so far but it won't stop raining. They haven't mowed anything but the greens in a few days and it's brutal.

Got out for 9 on my local executive course. Getting harder and harder to crank out a quick 9 with more and more slow old foursomes making their way out as the weather gets nicer.

I doubled back to play 5 6 and 7 again (par 3 4 3) as the foursome in front of me I caught up to way too fast and was moving slow and the foursome behind me was a father with 2 young sons so I had a window to jump in to one in front of the hole they were at.

Anyway the point of this is on my double back I went par bogey par and the bogey had the easiest par putt of the day that I left short like I always do with par or the rare birdie putts. To be fair my putt on 5 was the nicest one I ever hit right to left and looked like a video game. It felt so amazing to hit great iron shots of the tee on 5 and 7 and a driver that stopped just short of the fringe on the par 4 6th. Glimpses of playing like that just get you hooked so much more. There were plenty of 5s and a 6 in there too but to go 3 consecutive holes playing really well was like a rush

Good thinking. Don't be afraid to play a couple balls or hit multiple balls from the same spot when it's slow as long as you aren't holding anyone up

Cart path only again. We didn't find out until we got to the course. I wish they would have told us before we got there. We'd have played somewhere else. Then the ranger finally tells us on 14 that it's ok to take them off the cart path, which I pretty much thought back at the 5th hole. Damn people.

There were a couple soggy fairways for sure, but just tell people to stay on the path on those holes. Damn people. Lost 5 balls just off the fairway in the 3" rough on the other side of the cart path. I guess I could aim for the path.

After shooting 87 at a difficult Arcadia Bluffs, I probably shot
105 today. I gave up keeping score after 7 holes since it was so unenjoyable. It was just pissing me off. I couldn't do anything right today. So much for trying to squeeze in 18 at twilight after work.

Ironically, the current leader of the Memorial, is K. Lee...

Tiger hardly takes an aggressive stand on anything. Have to think part of his harsh shot was due to the fact that Haney wrote about Tiger's private life.

I mean Tiger would no doubt have agreed that Haney was wrong, but he usually dodges these issues. I would have expected him to just say that he agreed it was "inappropriate" and leave it at that. Tiger is no Lebron on social matters...

I just noticed that Tiger has a Titleist putter but a ping grip. That's unusual.

It's his usual Scotty, he's had that grip for 20 years.

Scotty is a child company of Titleist.
