I see he also called him a nutjob. Who needs this all this stats mumbo jumbo anyway? I say if you want to improve your game you just need to get yourself a Perfect Club....

omg he actually replied to me. I guess we only see what we want to see, but I always liked the guy. Turns out he's just a smug know-it-all, who knew? He's probably posting from his back patio as he gets drunk on wine by himself.

Decent lineup for golf next week.

- Playing the Winter Park 9 after work on Monday.
- Playing Reunion Watson course Tuesday after work. Prep round for the Mid-Senior next month.
- Playing Streamsong Red Wednesday morning. Prep round for Am Tour event the beginning of next month.

Ended up taking this week off of golf due to work, weather and a bad finger.

First range session in the last 3 weeks. Our range has been closed for the most part because of rain.

Best range session of my life. So I'm probably ****ed tomorrow when I go play.

Just stretch a whole bunch before you start warming up. If you haven't been out at all until yesterday, you'll likely be tighter than usual today.

i have a web.com eligibility question....hope NTN or others can help

the three web.com players i follow most (michael weaver being one) are approx. 135, 175 and 185 on the web.com money list yet they still seem to be in every tournament... not certain but i think all 3 were below 10th but above 46th at q school (maybe one was top 10).....

how are these players still eligible for the tourneys this far into the web.com season? surely they are replaced in the reshuffles.

not sure how many reshuffles there are... doing this from memory, but i'm thinking q school was top 10 = 12 starts, 11th to 45th (i think ties were ok) was 8 starts (first place was fully exemption).........

i had a couple of acquaintences get 4 starts (canadian and chinese tour success) and they were gone from web.com really fast.

so how are those players holding on this late? i haven't counted the actual number of tourneys so far. maybe i should

How many of you mess around with the swing weight of your putter? I started doing this a couple years ago and it really makes a huge difference in how stable my putting stroke is. I have a scotty with 4 interchangeable weights in the head and a counter core grip with I think up to 75g of interchangeable weight. If this is something you've never tinkered with, I highly recommend it. If you get a lighter grip with the counter core weights then you don't need to do any adjusting of head weight. A lighter grip makes the head feel heavier and a heavier grip makes the head feel lighter. When you have a head that feels heavier, you don't have to swing as hard to get the ball to go the same distance. It also promotes a slower swing which is good IMO with the putter. Finding the right balance for you is a very important piece to a better putting game.

I started by using lead weights with double sided tape on the head in different spots to see how having more weight forward or back made it feel and just kept experimenting with that along with the grip weight until I found what I liked best. Now I feel like a have the ball rolling in the direction I intended it to far more often than ever. If you have the time and a little bit of smarts it is definitely worth it.

So many variables and I am lazy.

I think I have decided that I putt better with a face-balanced putter and a heavier headed putter. Counter-balance is another variable I have not messed with in a while.

My miss seems to be a pull, both in longer and shorter putts. Thinking that I like to release the toe of the putter which puts me back into a toe flow blade.

So the long and the short of it is I have no ****ing clue what I am doing. Next time I am near San Diego I'm just gonna spend the money and get fitted at the Scotty store.

ok, as per my curiousity re: web.com eligibility.

this week's Kansas City web.com tourney has 144 players. i saw the starting list and how they qualified.

of the 3 players i follow, one (mike weaver) now isn't there. the other two who were 115th and 135th on money list are about 15 spots and 3 spots from the very bottom i.e. they barely got in, one especially.

i would estimate of the 144 players, 15 to 20 aren't in because of preferred web.com status. so that would be consistent with the placing of the two players i follow

WITB is interesting, thank you.......

what is the loft generally on a PW?

i don't have info/energy to do WITB fully... but i will summarize.....

Driver... stiff 10%
5w, 7w, 17,21,24% hybrids.
6-pw
52, 58 wedges
putter.

can't seem to hit any 3w that straight and tend to play tight courses. most places i play also do not have easily accessible greens so rolling way up doesn't work anyway... also, i don't really feel constrained much by length although i certain don't play your 7,000 yard type setups.

Honestly, I'd have to bone up again on all the different categories or research it. I'd just be taking educated guesses at this point.

Also, can someone turn this into a gif?
