Funny part was where he was saying we get payed to play a ball but they really are all about the same. He has a point about how some companies might actually have a better ball than others till everyone figures it out.

Hey guys, maybe you could help me a bit. Looking pretty likely that gonna be doing a winter-trip to Florida in the end of January. If end up going there then gonna golf as well. 7-10 days, 4-8 rounds of golf I guess. Three-or-four guys. So basically any and all info on golfing in the Miami area would be great! Also ideas for what area to stay in? Renting a car, but would like to stay pretty close to some evening activities. Some up to 50$ golf-rounds with a couple of 70-100$ mixed in if those look nice, and lodging 100$ per night for a double room or something. Thanks!

After looking a bit, that budget seems doable, guess I´m mostly looking for recs at courses in those price ranges, and what to avoid

I would ask your question and search around here.

If you have a specific area in mind I can chime in about hotels. At that time of the year rates shouldn't be up yet.

Thanks Scott! Will look there, just booked flights for two weeks. Crazy amount of courses. Think gonna start in Fort Lauderdale and leave the rest open. All ears if you have hotel ideas there, PM maybe?

Anyone ever played in NZ? Going for 2 weeks over the holidays. I'm somewhat time constrained but am scheduled to play at Jack's Point. Any thoughts?

just south island, near Queenstown? if yes, play Queenstown, Arrowtown, and Millbrook.

Millbrook is higher end, hosts the pro tournament. Queenstown and Arrowtown are local courses.

post other towns if applicable.

RAISE YOUR
GAME
LOWER YOUR
SCORE

the world's number one internationally patented automated ball teeing system

GET THE MOST UNFAIR ADVANTAGE IN GOLF

what the **** does that even matter? congrats on your patent for something so obscure and reinforces some people are too lazy to tee up their own ball on the range (as if all of the shots on the range are hit from a tee).

I disagree. These idiots are going to go broke with that garbage.

I mean 4.5-5k can get me a skytrak and kick ass mat with plenty left over.

Can probably get a gc2 with the club data add on used or close to it.

Hell it would be cheaper to pay someone 10 bucks a hour to tee the ball up for you.

The only thing I can think of is maybe they are trying to lease them to ranges. No person in their right mind would buy one.

I am liking my epic driver though. Not a massive increase in distance this time of year since it goes a bit higher and gets zero roll compared to a bit lower flight of my other one and would get 5-10 yards roll even now. I expect it will be about 10 yards longer on normal conditions. It is really easy to hit though and I can go as hard as I want and I don't have to worry about the shaft doing wonky things and ending up with some weird massive misses. Also goes a good amount farther low on the face.

I used their locator and there a a few ranges not too far away from me in the UK that use them - and surprisingly they aren't too much more expensive than regular ranges.

Anyone use an orange whip? I need help with tempo and seems like a great training aid... but $109 for a weighted ball on a stick seems like a lot.

I got one recently and had previously used it in lessons. Love it for not only tempo but for increasing swing speed. Driver feels like a feather after a few minutes with it.

Whip is also good for general loosening up, esp if you don't have time for some range balls before the round.

Found out the other day the Golf Channel Am Tour national championship is at Mission Hills in Ranch Mirage, CA (same as last year). Nothing like the California desert in September. I have played the Dinah Shore course before but not the other three. Can anyone expound on those? I might try and drive out for the day and play 36 when I'm in Orange County in March.

For reference the other three are:

Mission Hills - Pete Dye Challenge Course
Westin Mission Hills Golf Resort - Gary Player Signature Course
Westin Mission Hills Golf Resort - Pete Dye Resort Course

I played a course in San Antonio that had these on the range and I found it annoying AF. Give me a regular mat with my balls in a pile any day over having to wait for this POS to pop up a ball every time.
