If you hit your 60 fat a lot, then more bounce will help you hit better shots when you miss.
More bounce will also help you hit better flop shots off of tighter lies as it allows you to hit down more and let the bounce help you from hitting it fat.

No, not the opposite. More bounce (the higher the number) means the club will be able to dig into the turf less. So, if you are a sweeper, then you don't have a problem with the club digging to deep so you can use less bounce and not worry. Opposite for steep swings, because they tend to dig deeper into the turf so more bounce will help them not go so deep.
I was talking about the ability to hit flop shots being easier with more bounce because you can hit down more and not worry about it digging into the ground. This allows the club to slide under the ball if you hit behind it rather than resulting in a fat shot laying the sod over it.
