hopefully he realizes he wasn't good enough for the tour.

i went back to look at his champions tour results and this is an amazing one month sequence of events. i wonder if he had a hooker and blow problem.

I've played it. The scenery is spectacular (other than a couple of holes away from the lake). It's a good test. The fescue is nasty if you hit it crooked. Greens are challenging, though I didn't think they were super fast.

I would say it's worth it. Plan on a 5 hour round and be sure to have a drink on the lawn afterward.

I have heard good things from people who have played it. 2.5 hours each way seems worth it, assuming someone else was driving so I can drink.

Hey Booker have you played The Virtues or what ever it used to be called? Hate paying $90 something to golf in Ohio but want to get out there so will probably play once the rates drop after summer and the replay rate kicks in.

Nope, haven't made it down there. Supposed to be very good though.

Pine Needles was one of my favs in that area. Definitely play that over Midpines if you can only play one of the two.

Have you played mid pines since the renovation?

Guy I work with got the email that he won Masters tickets. He got the Sunday tickets. I am "probable" for going with him.

So does Bones hop on Rahm's bag?

What did I miss re: Rahm and Bones, i.e., why is that speculation out there?

Phil's brother coached Rahm at ASU and is now his agent so it isn't a big leap to think it.

I need some advice on fixing my driver swing. I played in an event with a trackman yesterday so I have a video of myself that I can upload for the first time.

My most common miss is a pull hook and I have tried everything I know of to try to eliminate that. When I make really good contact and feel like I was setup somewhat open I can hit a straight ball or even a slight cut, but yesterday on the range I hit probably 50 drivers and no more than 5 ended up on my target line or left of it (I'm left handed) so I resorted to just setting up wayyyyyyyyyyyy left with my feet and hoping that would suffice. Also, if I end up slowing the speed down or setting up too open with the club I often end up just hitting block slices which is another problem because it brings a two way miss into play.

I guess from what I can tell in this video I need to setup with the driver face more open and the stance more closed, not drop my whole body so quickly or as much on the transition, and possibly not roll the club over so quickly after impact. Pausing right after impact it looks like the clubface is still a little open which keeps the starting line out left, but its still drawing quite a bit. Probably a 30+ yard draw (hook?) on this ball even though it was hit well. What do you guys see?

fwiw, I was told to be left of center off this tee so that was part of the setup as well. This was very solid contact and a decent ball flight, but was not repeatable at all as it was one of the best 3-4 drives I hit all day (hit one fairway total all day and got to play 2 balls off of like 5 of those tees because we were short a guy).

Your shoulder lines are way right. That probably leads to your pull hooks. Try not to bring the club up to the ball, and let it sit 2-3 inches behind the ball at address.

When you line your club up, sometimes people have a tendency to open that front shoulder.

Keep at it CDL. I revamped my entire grip and swing speed and jfc it's hard. Very tough to stand over a ball where half of your brain knows what your trying to do is right and the other half is all "nooooo this feels weird, don't do that." I honestly can relate to how Kevin Na has felt on a tee box. It's real blast though when you see progress starting to translate to the course.

i recommend checking where you're impact is on the club face. I've had the same miss. you can spray atheletes foot spray on the club face (there are couple of golfwrx articles on it) and get good instant feedback.

I was unknowingly very biased to the toe (which can cause those pull hooks when right out there) but been able to be much more consistent off the centre now that I'm aware of it

How do you guys find people to golf with? All of my friends that I used to golf with on the reg now have children and either don't have the time, or the funds to play all the time. Are there groups you can join? I'd like to find a foursome that is competitive and decent players. When I get paired up with a group I always feel like I am intruding.

I play with a bunch of guys from THP, sort of a 2+2 for golf. There happens to be a ton of people in the NE Ohio area and normally get 4-8 guys out once or twice a month and really large groups of over 20 like twice a year and I play with guys from there in small groups fairly often. As someone who didn't grow up here it helped since I didn't have a bunch of guys I knew from school. For me the players around here have a big spread in skill level from 20+ to scratch but the majority around 5-15.
