As far as a women qualifying from the mens tees if the course doesnt have impossible forced carries then a women could qualify with a once in a life time run good

Once in a universe lifetime maybe. Have any idea how short women club pros hit it?

There's a thread here about Brittany Lincicome playing in a mini-tour event in Florida where she got lapped. And she's a long hitter as far as women goes. Read that to understand just how different a game it is and how women competing against men is just impossible.

I'm just pleased that at age 52 I can still out-drive her.

Don't understand this, why even let them play from different tees when they are not eligible.

They are competing in a tournament with money on the line. They get the money, just not the PGA spot.

Out of curiosity I looked to see how many rounds I have played on the year. Currently up to 65. Add in the the six tournaments I have played in or so and I am off to a good start halfway through the year.

Last week Friday I managed to lose a towel that I carry. Assumed that I left it in the cart, checked the lost and found the next morning, not there. No big deal, it's a towel.

Rode with a guy this morning that has started playing with the weekend group. Noticed on the first hole that he was using my lost towel.

Oh, I suppose it wasn't the same one, but what are the odds of him having the same towel from the same moderately obscure course in Scotland?

Didn't call him on it, don't care. I have lots of golf towels. Just thought it was kinda funny.

I haven't been playing much this year, probably only 30-35 rounds. Think last year was 120+

Lol that's right out of a Curb episode. Larry David wouldn't stand for such a thing.

Kind of a strange story.

https://gma.yahoo.com/10-old-golf-pr...pstories.html#

Cliff notes: A couple has a kid who is a top golfer, and a judge has basically said she can't play or practice more than once a week as part of what is probably a really, really nasty custody fight. Apparently the parents have been at war for seven years, which must be great for the kid.

Starting to do some half-ass planning of a golf trip to Ireland next summer. I know at least a couple posters have gone, would love any recommendations.

Went to Dublin area 3 years ago. Had a blast, so my rec would be to follow through. Had played for one year, not hitting during winter and then first tee shot of the year was in Dublin and airballed =) Could not remember the courses we played, but looking now at notes I liked Druids Glen a lot. Remember someone more qualified liking Portmarnock (golf links, did not get to play the more famous course) the most. Also played St. Annes and Castlenock, liked them too and then Deer Park which prolly was the most plebeian. Middle of April and they were 25-55euros a pop, the pricier ones also being the better ones. That was still low-season, no idea how prices are now.

Enjoyed the pubs, guinness was really good and service as well, hope I go back sooner than later. If I remember to ask the other guys if they have some comments IŽll report back.

Druids Glen seems like a pretty cool name for a course.
