Same tees, she earned the entry on her own merit which is pretty cool, not sure what course but she will probably get eaten alive along with the other 19 male qualifiers

What is the best way to play a bunker shot out of wet sand. I'm fine when the sand is fluffy, but should I switch clubs or something? I currently use a 56 degree wedge with 8 bounce. But when the sand is wet I'm in a world of trouble.

I just try to cut though and use the feeling of my right hand releasing under my left instead of a normal release
I am not a very good bunker player though

Think about filling a pillow case with regular soft sand and hitting something like a tee-ball (baseball). You're hitting the ball with a soft cushiony thing so you need a decent amount of speed to get the ball where you want it to go...

Now think about if you fill the pillow case with wet sand. You don't need as much speed to get the ball to go as far as you'd like, right?

Same with wet sand in a bunker. The sand is propelling the ball, not the clubface. The harder the sand, the less clubhead speed you need.

The more bounce the better out of the bunker. My 58* has 11* of bounce. Open the club face and you should get the right amount of dig from the club. The compact sand will prevent it from going too deep.

At least that's what I do and it's been working lately.

this doesn't appear to be true. she didn't pursue the necessary path through sectionals and came to this event knowing she was ineligible to qualify for the PGA Championship.

what is the best angle(s) for video's of chip shots to diagnose swing inconsistencies?

my natural comfortable shot alternates between a low punch that bounces once and checks...to a high flopper with little spin that rolls off the green.

Some days, I'll go out in the morning and get one, then come home at lunch and get the other, but feel like I'm taking the exact same swing.

That is weird, figured you would have to qualify forthis event. It has happened before though. I assumed the same this time, oh well

I've put in for 4 tickets each of the last 8 years, and just last year I randomly changed my request for 3 tickets and then won.

I have no idea if that matters at all, but I wonder if requesting 2 vs. 4 helps your odds of winning at all.

You get to play a round at Agusta? That's cool. How much, if you don't mind answering...

It's tickets to watch the practice round, not play the course. Still awesome nonetheless.

Arizona people: How easy is it to get 2-4 month rentals in the fall/winter for a reasonable price? Thinking about coming down to grind golf and maybe a bit of poker in oct/nov/dec or so.

No idea for that timeframe but keep in mind you will be competing with every snowbird in NA. Well it feels like that anyway.

Anyone have any experience with x100 or c-taper shafts?

Not x100 but s300 are solid shafts if you are looking fow low launching, i tiped mine so half way between them and x100. Cant really go wrong with dg shafts. Xp125 would be good also if the dg's launch too low.

No clue on c taper

Asking because I had my first fitting earlier this week and those were the two shafts that were recommended for me. I intend to play my new set for a very long time so I want to make sure I love everything about them. I'll probably go to the PGA Superstore and give each of them a test run. I'm coming from a lighter Nippon shaft I like the feel of so I'm a little concerned about the heavier weight on each of those shafts.

I play x100s in my AP2s. I spin the ball too much and hit it too high. This was the perfect shaft for me. Takes a bit getting used to the weight (130g vs my old 110g shafts) but I couldn't be happier.

Went to the shop and tested both of them. Going with the x100. Weight will take some getting used to but they felt good.

If you paid attention to the leaderboard, you'd see that exactly 20 players at 2-under or better. Exactly 20. So why was there a playoff for the 20th spot at 1-under? Because she wasn't eligible.

And she wasn't eligible because she did not play the same tees. Did you really think a woman would be able to compete with the best club pros in the country from the same tees? No way.

When Suzy Whaley qualified she also did not play the same set of tees and that's exactly why the rule was changed.

Dude, there's s reason I asked those questions - guess what they were? I didn't know the answer! I tend to be distracted from golf on tv when I'm playing poker in a casino.

Check out TT XP 105 or 115 if the weight worries you. Just tip them if they launch too high
