That's interesting. I had not heard that.
For now though, I'm going to hold onto my opinion. I understand that there are parallels between baseball and golf, but I can see a weighted bat being more detrimental to a baseball swing than a weighted club would be to a golf swing. In the former, the extra weight would attempt to drag the bat down while you're trying to maintain a relatively parallel plane to the ground. In a golf swing, the extra weight acts as a rollercoaster on the way down, and also forces you to get your weight back and through.
I've just seen too many good golf instructors advocating weighted clubs to toss out the idea based on one show.
However, it's possible that they ARE bad. Changes in theories are to be expected over time.
They definitely help me get back on track, so I'll stick with them for now.
