You may tee off with pw. Anything past 125 off the tee is in the wispy rough. Fr there, you have a 200 yard approach to a tiny green protected w bunkers on all sides . Good course to never play
That is just silly dumb.

Sounds like the actual worst hole in golf

Yeah, the rest of the course is ok if you've played before. Marked yardages are not close to accurate so you kind of need to know the course a bit, but there's is inevitably someone who hits driver and tries to get there on this hole and it's just always a bad time. I broke a rake once because of how dumb the hole was.

**** I was drunk last night, the start of that post makes no sense at all. "One of the sister courses of the course I'm a member at" is what I was trying to say.

Nice. I know a few people who live in Carmel. It's a good deal with it being a reasonable distance from the city and affordable.

The prices at Centennial are pretty ridiculous though. I load up in Groupons when they have them and try to find other deals online when I can. Regular price for today would be $130. Lol @ that.

Yeah their regular prices are ridiculous.

I can usually find hot deals on Golf Now for like $40 - $50 in the afternoon, that will primarily be when I'll play there.

Otherwise I'll just keep playing my home course Putnam County Golf Course...much cheaper and still a pretty good track.

Been hitting lots of balls and playing lots and left outer elbow has developed tennis elbow/tendonitis. No doubt from impact vibration.

I have started with ice and ibuprofen. Any other suggestions from those who have had the same thing from golf?

I am a bit worried because I had this in my right arm when used to played squash, and it took forever to go away, and each re-injury made things worse than the last episode.

I've had similar in my wrist and elbow and unfortunately the only thing you can do is not play for awhile, then pace yourself when you come back. For me it is now much milder than it was in the past so there is also the chance it just goes away. Swinging better probably helps as well.

I really think every amatuer (and probably pros but I don't know) should now be playing graphite shafts in their irons and wedges. They make high quality ones these days, and as heavy as you want. Is it really worth whatever perceived benefit steel provides if the extra impact strain on your joints might shorten your golf career?

What's etiquette on bringing your own cooler to the course? I know most (all?) courses don't allow it, but what if I'm just bringing bottles of water and lunch? I usually bring 3 bottles of water, a sandwich and snack. Then I refill the water from the coolers on the course.

If there is no alcohol in the cooler, I don't think a course can or would stop you from bringing it to the course. I don't bring a cooler, but I've always got my own water, gatorate and snacks in my bag.

We always had a no-cooler policy. Some courses offer coolers on their carts. Others don't care, although bringing your own alcohol to a place that serves its own is unlawful. If you tell them you have diabetes or something and that you need to keep your blood sugar up, most of the courses that have a strict policy will still let you take them if you show them there's no alcohol in there.

Most courses have a policy that you can't bring your own food and drink. Sure people break that policy all the time, but it doesn't make it right.

I always bring water but don't mind paying for booze since I mostly go to one course and it is cheap so I buy enough to make sure they will still be cheap next year.

Bring my own water (get yourself a large hydro flask or something similar) and a birdie bottle for a wee snoodle after someone gets a bird. everything else bought at the course if I think I need it.

The policy or breaking the policy?

I haven't actually noticed a formal policy anywhere that I've played recently, though that's only a half dozen courses or so. Nearly every place has a sign that says bringing your own alcohol is unlawful.

I know a lot of guys who bring stuff, I'm far too lazy and don't really eat much if anything during the round so if I eat I buy there. I am going to start bringing a mug or something for water tho, they indirectly encourage that since it uses fewer paper/styrofoam cups.

What is your Hybrid of choice? I've had the same 2 for 8 years. It's time to upgrade. I'm thinking Answer or Titleist.

I have Adams A12 stock shaft, stiff flex. Pretty old I think but works well enough but going to try some new ones out next season in hopes of finding one that is still forgiving but has a little more trajectory control. The thing tends to balloon pretty bad into the wind.

I've had my MacGregor Mactec NVG2 Hybrid UT4 for ages and, along with my Ping Anser putter they're the only clubs in my bag I can't see getting replaced in... well... ever.

Adams has been recognized for a while for their hybrids. I played a 2 and 3 for a while and liked them a lot. That said, I've been playing TaylorMade burners that I bought used at goldsmith a few years ago and they've been great for my game.

I don't think I have ever seen restrictions on food. If I could only eat Snicker bars and hot dogs purchased at the course when I play I think my handicap would go up a couple shots.

Haven't posted a swing in a while. This one was pretty ugly, with my right arm way out of position on downswing lead me to dump the angle of my wrist early just to hit the ball since it was way to steep of angle for a driver.
