Who,

We play from the back (black) tees. It is just a short little muni course here in the city. 6,000 yards from the back tees. It does feature 2 brutish par 5s, but the rest of the course is very short.

Here is a link to the scorecard: http://www.oobgolf.com/courses/scorecard.php?id=10149

This player was the least skilled I have faced. There are some really good players in the field. The guy who I lost to in the finals last year was a professional. He doesn't play anymore because he wasn't good enough to earn a living playing, but he gave up his amateur status after college and has played in many professional tournaments.

My buddy plays music a lot and it only bothers me when I'm playing poorly. However, it really gets to me in those moments because he never asks whether or not I mind it playing. I probably would say I don't mind because I'm a little bitch but I hate when anyone in the group starts it without asking.

after all the fees it is only a few dollars less then the normal rate. If I really want to go I guess that would work.

I have played the Palm and the Magnolia before ages ago. DOn't think it has changed much. Courses are nice but overproced because Disney. If you are on property and don't have a car go for it. If you have a car there are courses just as nice at half the price like Orange County National.

Big weekend coming up. Heading to Niagara Falls for our annual Niagara Open which I have captured 2 out of 3 so far. 15 of us getting drunk, playing sloppy golf and squeezing in some poker at the casino. Can't wait.

US or Canada side?

Which courses do you play? Average price/quality? I'm considering it for next year's golf trip.

Canadian side. This year we're doing grand Niagara (Reese jones) and hunters Pointe. Gn is costing us 85cdn +tax for golf, cart and range balls. Hp is 65+tax for golf, cart, range balls, pound of wings, 2 beers and 2 pizza slices (I don't know how my buddy got such a sick deal on that). We stay in the Ramada for 90ish a night each - 2 to a room.
We've also done battlefield legends in the past and pay around 80 after tax.
Both of the courses we're doing this year are great tests and are what is consider to be premium courses, especially grand Niagara.

Prices sound reasonable, our group tends to not do so well in hotels though (noise). How far from the falls is everything?

Doing 2 days in the US, stocking up on booze and coming back and doing 2 days in Canada could be an idea.

The hotel is just off the strip. I think it's a 10 minute walk to the new casino. Hunters Pointe is in Welland so maybe 20 minutes away. Grand Niagara is maybe 15 away. The legends facility has two courses (battlefield is really good, but I've never played ushers Creek) and it's a little closer than the ones I just mentioned. Another option for a course is Whirlpool. Its a classic tree lined parkland course designed by Stanley Thompson - you don't get a chance to play his courses often.

Hey, I'm actually living about 5 min from all these courses.

Hunters pointe is a Lynx style course and really fun but hard.

Now Grand niagara, wow, words can't describe how beautiful this track is. Just incredible shape and staff is top notch with hot cart girls.

I do suggest Willow dell cause I love courses with 5 par 5's, been a while since I've played there though.

Driver starts out dead straight then slices right - just standard out-to-in path and/or open face or something different?

Assuming you're aiming where you think you are and hitting in middle of face you are correct on out to in path

Nice! I've played Grand Niagara like 3 times now and I agree with you there, it's a fantastic course and their greens are usually picture perfect.

My dad played Niagara a few weeks ago in a tournament for his company and said it was easily the best course he's ever played

It's pretty hard to say but wouldnt this make the ball go left to right? There are many other things that affect the ball flight.

Yes. If the ball is starting on line then the club face is square to the target and the path is out to in. Just got to work on your path.

If the face was open at impact the ball would be starting to the right.
