What are the main causes of a push? I played for the first time in a long time last weekend due to the great uk weather and was pushing it more and more as the round went on. I had previously corrected a slice last year when my swing was out to in but not knowledgeable enough to know what might be causing a push.

Any help would be much appreciated. I recall a thread on here about swing paths but cant find it.

Can't offer much advice, but this is probably the thread you were looking for.

wow, the Blue Monster is $450 per person now (or was it always?). I guess I'm playing somewhere else when I go to Doral.

Trump's helicopter isn't going to pay for itself.

Nice one, cheers. First post made it clear what I was doing wrong - club face open, swing path on same line as club face. Now for the hard task of trying to correct it.

Going to Winston Salem next month. Anybody have any recommendations for nice courses in the area? Willing to drive as well.

Tanglewood Park, championship course. Oak Valley in that same area not far outside W-S. Bryan Park just NE of Greensboro. All good courses and very reasonable. Liked Oak Hollow in High Point too.

Probably check out 2 or 3 of those. Thanks!

I would rate Bryan Park above Oak Valley, btw. Def play Tanglewood.

+1 Tanglewood. Great course for a great price. Course held the '74 PGA Champ.

it's a bit cheaper if you stay at the resort as part of the golf package, but it was still a $5k+ 3 day trip for me and the gf.

We see that it's going to be 65 and sunny for Friday (on Tuesday). I book a tee time on golfnow for like, $20 a person for our first round of the year (lol Ohio). Now it says ice-rain showers and 35 degrees until like 5pm.

Goodbye 80 bucks. I hope they let me at least postpone the tee time to another date or something since they are 100% non-refundable unless the course is literally closed.

They let me full refund. They put me on hold while they called the course. I had called the course first and the pro told the proshop attendant that was taking my call to just call them and have them cancel the time. I was afraid it wasn't going to work, but it did. I was surprised, especially after reading all the hate-reviews about golfnow's customer service and screwing people over.

Do you think Tiger would play a round with a terminally ill child who made that his last wish?

If the child's mother is hot.

Maybe if the kid's family covered the green fee

anyone have any course recs in Columbia, SC or Charlotte, NC? Looking for 2 courses in either area for a quick weekend trip with my dad. Not dead set on either of those locations, but we want somewhere within ~4 hrs of both ATL and Wilmington, NC.

I was looking for serious responses, despite the BS nature of this thread.

Clearly money won't convince Tiger to do it. Is there anything that would? Would he not do it because he doesn't care, or because if he does it for one kid, then he'll have all the sick children in the world knocking on his door?

You want a serious response to a question that is impossible for any of us to answer with any certainty, lol ok.

Played quite a bit of golf in Columbia when my friend went to USC.

Definitely definitely go play Cobblestone Park GC. It's USC's home course and it's pretty awesome. Try to play the Garnet & Black sides.

We always made it a 36 hole day between Cobblestone and GC of South Carolina at Crickentree -- a solid course as well.

I don't see how a person with a soul could not find time to fit this into his schedule. So I would think Tiger would do it. I mean the kid's about to die and all he wants is to play golf with you. That's pretty powerful. But yeah you raise a good point - it may be a slippery slope and he may have to end up either playing a lot of golf with kids who look like Larry King, or saying no to them.

Though I can't imagine that would be the last wish for too many kids these days. I really don't think it would force an avalanche effect of caring if Tiger did it once.

I think most kids want to go to theme parks or sporting events and stuff like that. It would be interesting to see the data on all the final wishes. I wonder what the kids pick and how they divide the donated money up and what the charity admins say yes/no to.

thanks. Any recommendations on what area to stay in? Would probably spend most of our time not golfing at sports bars or somewhere with a patio and beers on tap.

My friend lived just off-campus so we never stayed in a hotel or anything.
