Just venting here. Weather finally starting to get good and today I go and break my damn foot. X-rays at ER confirmed it tonight. Gotta see a specialist this week and see if I will need surgery or what but either way I dont see any golf in my future for a few months!

Yeah it's an 11:20 tee time. Course is semi-private and meanders through a 50+ community. Played it once with my dad and enjoyed it. Nobody was out on the course. The guy said all the old people who live there are done by like noon and they just don't get a big outside crowd.

This is good news as I'd prefer to play as a single, but at that price on that course I'd play with 3 known serial killers and probably still be happy.

It was for 1 only. Does this mean I will be going out by myself or are they going to lump me in with a 3-some?
If it said 1 only it is with a 3 some, 1 or 2 you will be with a pair and if any size you might be alone

Whether you play alone or with others is not determined by Golfnow, rather the golf club itself. Usually it's just depends on where they can fit the single.

Also, ARC, I know you're going to be through the roof when you discover the HOT DEALS on Golfnow. It's a prepay that goes straight to golfnow, which means the prices are at a huge discount (ie. $120 course for $39)

Have fun.

Haha nah I broke it in a jet skiing accident. Probably was going to fast (water was calm though) and out of f*ckin nowhere these giant waves appeared lol. Went way airborne after the first one and when the jet ski landed i was tossed off. Came up from the water and my foot was numb and had to sit there for quite some time to regain enough feeling to get back on and cruise back in. Going to a specialist today to see what the next step is. Hoping I dont need surgery but my luck I will. My foot looks pretty messed up though. Real bad bruising across all my toes and then my foot is like 3x the size it should be lol. Crutches suck!

Apparently if you leave your driver in a nearby trashcan right off the 9th tee box you instantly shave 5-10 strokes off the back 9.

The more you know

So the "1 only" GolfNow thing was just me. I didn't have to join a 3-some. Pretty sweet.

Jetskis are dangerous. Girl from my high school got t-boned by her girlfriend during spring break. Broke her pelvis, legs, and arm iirc

No doubt about this. I wasnt on the best of lakes either. Gf was on it with me and luckily she wasnt hurt at all. I think I just held on too long maybe and should have just jump shipped but tried to save it lol. Bad idea. Didnt help I still did everything normal the next 2 days including tubing, boating, and more jet skiing. In a boot now though and been to a doctor so all is well. Being that it did happen and they are very dangerous, Im happy with the overall outcome of that it is a boot for 4 weeks with no surgery and no other injuries.

Does anyone know why a course would always have its practice facilities closed on Mondays? Seems like bad business....

Maintenance. Same reason most good courses traditionally have been closed on Mondays.

Must be the same reason I got a round in today with a cart for $18 but had to putt while lawnmowers waited. Or just mowed 50 yards away.

I'm curious....left foot or right foot? (i'm guessing you're a righty?) assuming you could pull a casey martin and ride for a bit, i'm trying to decide which foot i'd rather break if i had to break a foot. first thought is i'd rather break the right over the left since it would hurt like hell to transfer your weight to a broken foot, but breaking the right might be similar to having your hamstring cut right at the bottom.

It is my left foot and the doctor said I got it good and will pay for this one when Im like 50. Im sure in 2 weeks or so Ill be trying to hit balls lol. I fractured my right foot 5 years ago and was hitting balls in my boot in a few weeks time but it was no where near as bad as this one. This one hurt pretty bad. And yes Im a righty
