sounds good. you wont regret it. hit his website and schedule a session and drop my name in the comments. i'll confirm it with him on the back end as well.

https://www.shankygolf.co.uk/

just a loose schedule is fine, he's flexible and will adjust the timing as needed once it gets closer. plus he'll probably email reminder you prior too so we'll all remember.

I'm going to try and keep a spreadsheet on all of my rounds this year. Gonna be detailed as to score on each hole on my 2 home courses. Just gonna keep track of numbers of eagles, birdies, pars, etc on the non-home courses. Not too interested in GIR, FIR, etc. Just want to see over the course of a year how I do on certain holes.

I'm thinking I'm gonna start keeping stats on every single shot on my home course. Not sure if I should use something like the new game golf or just do things manually. Might use ship---this's system but will have to see what it actually does first.

Anyone keeping full data on all shots? Tips?

I'm really intrigued about the new version of Game Golf that is coming out. It's just so expensive. Granted it's a drop in the bucket compared to what I usually pay on golf, but still.

Edit: **** it, just bought it. Ships on Friday.

If anyone is gonna purchase here is the link from my email. Gets it down to $229 compared to $299 retail.

I had the old game golf and it was generally off by a couple yards so it would think i'm in the bunker when i was on the fringe/green and stuff like that. And there was no reasonable way to edit it manually.

The other thing is it didn't log pin positions so it was actually kind of useless for trying to generate actual strokes gained data. Not sure what the new version does. I guess I'll check out some reviews.

Played my first round with it today. 13 of the 14 tags work, but one doesn't. Will have to email to get another one. I left it off the putter but I'm thinking it's not the correct way to do it.

Overall it worked really good. I checked on my phone to see how it was working and I think it just missed one shot. Plus a lost ball penalty and it was confused on that.

How much work is it to use during a round? My concern is I don't want to do a lot of data entry or messing around with an app while I'm playing.

Just turn it on and select the course from your phone. That's all you have to do. Since one of my sensors didn't work I manually put in putts.

Thinking of regripping. My G400 driver and 3-wood I went with the MCC4 multicompound and it's been really good, from earlier this season.

Always thought the mc's were too slippery which is why I had Golf Pride Tour Wraps on all my other clubs, but I've had them for a few seasons and think it might be time to change over. The tackiness is nice but if there's any sort of moisture or if it's a humid day and my hands are sweaty, the Tour Wraps are so slippery. Near impossible to play on a wet day too.

i've played Golf Pride MCC for the past several years mainly because i play four season golf and they have seemed to perform the best....
...but....
recently gave a friends driver a few test swings (callaway epic, btw) and he had Winn tri tac grips. i might just have to give those a test run in the near future.

I like the durability of the mcc4, but ya I'd prefer the tackiness of the tritacs. How is durability, relatively?

Horrible. You'll be regripping after every 10 rounds.

Look at Pure Pro grips for tackiness and decent durability.

Anyone use the Iomic grips? I really like the way they feel, but they're pricey and seem like they may also wear out fast. I put one on my most used wedge last season so I will find out soon enough, but I would love to put them on all my clubs if I knew they wouldn't need to be replaced constantly.

I've had a set of lamkin i-line (very similar) on my sticks for about a year and they're still in pretty good shape, I practice and play 2-3 times each per month probably.

And yeah Winn grips are awesome but they last a month.

I play over 150 rounds a year and practice a lot, would rather not spend 2k on regrips lol.
