So I'm watching Shotmakers on the Golf Channel, and it's a competition of teams of two, male/female. Somehow, all the females are bikini models or something, who also play golf. They all can hit a really nice ball.

Makes me realize how much I overswing.

If they found the right hosts, I would think a show where they heckle regular golfers could be quite entertaining.

Now that is a good idea. Guessing Larry the Cable Guy is already booked for that show.

And on the ladies thing, yes, I already had been following two of them on IG prior to this show being aired.

This is a pretty odd story.

https://www.apnews.com/bf09b54e0cca4...dium=AP_Sports

The amazing part is that a fivesome of women played nine holes in less than two hours, and the golf course owner called that slow. I would call it a miracle.

I've lived this on a number of occasions (multiple times on one particular hole) and had to defend myself with my clubs. Geese are terrifying when they attack. They scream/hiss and stick our their tongues while lowering their heads and charging. They are also way bigger than you think they are. While this is funny as hell I do feel for the guy.

Ok I will be a white person and say something isn't adding up here. I'm about 99% sure that the news article had many things wrong. There is no way you play in 1:45 and get asked to leave even if you are in a fivesome.

Edit: OK I watched more of the video and the guys are *******s for sure.

I got a new Ping set a few months ago, and used them the other day in a very light, sporadic drizzle. I kept drying the clubs off after every shot and dried them off again before I put them in the trunk. I went to the range today and noticed that my 9 iron (no other club) has what looks like rust. Dark brown spots on the head and hosel, and it wouldn't come off when scrubbed with water. Is this normal? Is the club made from some bad material? I imagine these clubs are supposed to be stainless. How can I clean this 9 iron, and how do I keep them clean in general?

Of course this is disgusting on the club's part, and I'll be sure to boycott tbem if I ever happen to be in the area. But it doesn't actually say anywhere in the article how long it took them to play the front nine. All it says that they played holes 3-9 in 1:45, but who knows how long the first two holes took them.

It's normal. Once they get wet again from play it will likely go away. All of my Vokey wedges do this. It's actually supposed to help with spin.

From what I read, they started at 11 and walked off the ninth green at 12:45.

Regardless, if they were slow, why not just skip ahead of them? Although they said they were keeping up with the group ahead of them, which obviously proves they weren't out of position.

To me it seems like the golf course owner decided to keep raising while holding a bad hand, until he went all in with the "I'm calling the cops" card. Which is always a brilliant move when arguing with an attorney.

We'll probably never know exactly what happened. But I don't see how they justify calling the police unless the golfers did something really bat**** crazy.

Although this does remind me of the time I showed up at the municipal course in Florida where I used to play and there were like 6 or 7 police cars in the parking lot. I asked the pro what was going on and we said a group of old guys on the tee of a par 3 were yelling at a group of younger guys on the green for playing slow. Words were exchanged and at some point one of the old guys pulled a gun out of his bag and threatened to shoot one of the younger guys.

Why didn't it go away when I washed them? And why did it happen with only one club?

That's a really good question. Take pics of the iron and post here so we can see.

i'll actually be in nashville on vacation for a week in july and i plan on playing gaylord springs multiple times. according to my small amount of research it's the best value public course in the ctiy. i'll split my time between there and Hermitage most likely. nashville doesn't appear to be much of a golf town.

I'll be there in July for a bachelor party. I'm the best man and Gaylord was my first choice via my research too. Good look.
