I've had taylormade ones for the past 2 years and have found them to be great. (I bought them at a club house, right before tee time and have no regrets, despite the premium I most likely paid for them).

With that said, FJ is almost impossible to be a bad choice for gloves (or even shoes).

With that said, Ecco shoes >FootJoy (IME)

I got my spec sheet and did my own research. Found a TaylorMade from a few years ago with a shaft that had specs very close to what they fitted me for. I went to a local GolfSmith and snagged it off the rack for less than $30. The original club they wanted me to buy was > $1000 iirc.
$1,000 for a single club?

Get a Frogger golf cart poncho! They're like $40 and fit easily in your bag, and then you can install it on about any golf cart in seconds once it starts pouring. Best accessory money I've spent lately.

Just used it and had success.
What happens if the code is used for a greens fee less than $20?

Spin rate consistently 3400+. Hit a few around 3100 and were def going further.

Carry ~250

Been as low as a +3 but now like a 3 who barely plays.

Club is a Ping i15 legit 8-10 years old from when I was still playing competitively.

Never really been a techie but what should I be thinking about when I go see someone to get fitted? How much can I realistically expect to reduce spin rate with appropriately fitted driver?

I would guess you should be able to get that spin down quite a bit. Nothing jumps off the page to me saying you shouldn't be able to get it down.

People actually bid on ebay before the last 10 seconds?

Yep, I had a pair of Adidas all weather shoes and some Footjoy casuals before the end of last year when I grabbed two Ecco pairs on sale. They've been awesome this year and way easier on my feet to wear.

Shoes are so dependent on what your feet are like. I used to be pretty happy with FJ but switched to Ecco bc it was so hard to get my size. Been all true linkswear for a couple years now and they are 1000% better for me - eccos just too narrow.

Apparently two guys got in a dispute over music on the driving range, which is probably the most interesting thing that will happen in golf until the British Open, unless Tiger shooting 80 this week is still considered interesting.

I didn't know people still called each other 'dog', except for J-Roc on Trailer Park Boys.

I was paired with a group in Vegas back in April and he had a speaker right on his cart playing music the whole time. Didn't bother me any and I would be considered a seasoned veteran age.

Got Canada day off tomorrow and playing one of my favourite courses in the country. A 'links' course in Amish land built by Martin Hawtree who has contributed to courses like Lahinch, Portmarnock and Royal Birkdale.

It's a beautiful course and a really tough test. Can't wait!

Donald Trump seems to be in deep doo doo with his, "everyone in golf agrees with me that Mexicans suck" comment.
