After missing that 11 inch putt, she deserved to lose really.

Closest comparison off the top of my head is Goosen at the 2001 US Open, but at least he had a day to regroup, 18 holes, and Mark Brooks as his opponent.

If I.K. Kim won it's possible she misses her jump into the lake

lol @ TGC analyst. "She didn't choke, she just lost focus."
Yeah ok br0. That was the classic yip shove. People don't do that unfocused.

There isn't a comparable miss that I can think of right now. This was a 1-foot putt give or take 2 inches, flat with no break. Hoch's putt was 2 feet, downhill at Augusta National with left to right break that right-handers hate. Goosen's putt was 3 feet, downhill at a U.S. Open course also with a left to right break.
Both Hoch and Goosen miss their putts on a semi-regular basis.

Just saw the post playoff interview, painful watching her fumble out the sports psychobabble, "lot of positives to take away..."
Yeah, Sergio, Mike Donald & Loren Roberts had terrible yarks like Hoch & Goosen, and of course there was Watson at Turnberry but I think this stands alone, and ldo far worse than Norwood & Buckner too. Mickelson missed a fairly short one in the final round of the PGA when Toms won, and I recall Billy Mayfair hopping a very short over the cup at Doral in '98 when he was leading but this was just nothing.
Shame, she's a real cutie too, esp by LPGA standards.

i see one of the golf magazines outlined the worst misses ever. no scott hoch but i'd not thought of retief goosen and completely forgot stewart cink in the same foursome. didn't know about hubert green at the masters. what tourney was it that he got a death threat? maybe USO or PGA

Cink's was before he realized he would be in the playoff. In his mind he had already missed the playoff I am pretty sure with the timing of how it went down.
So Stewie's really was a mind blank and not as much of a choke.

Yeah, as much as I dislike Cink he no doubt lost focus after he missed the first putt, thinking his chance of winning was gone with Goosen in so tight. So the short miss was more carelessness than anything.
(Not going to engage BO on the subject but Retief's miss there was incredibly rare as evidenced by Cink conceding it to him mentally. I don't GAF what length BO or anyone else wants to call the Goosen putt, Cink was as close as anyone and figured it to be a gimmie. It wasn't long, it wasn't tricky. It was a gag.)

I rarely if ever follow the women's game, and I'll fully admit I only turned on TGC to watch Shell highlights, but kept the Nabisco on for the hell of it since I saw it was winding down. That was painful to watch, yikes. Girl is actually pretty attractive too.
I'm starting to dislike Cink a lot as well, especially since his game has declined at an incomprehensible rate in direct correlation with how much time he spends on Twitter spewing out idiotic drivel
