Free lodging is highly likely although I don't know for sure -- a lot if not all of the U.S. events have families that offer lodging and it seems logical that would be true overseas as well. Airfare seems unlikely. I don't know what the LPGA rules are on appearance fees, but it seems like if it's going to be a hyper-international tour they ought to at least permit payment of expenses.

I'd look it up but nope, too lazy.

If you have to pay for airfare and hotel (for you and caddy) that cuts into that amount pretty significantly.
That is why they have no cut in those Asia tournaments. That way they are guaranteed money.

We have come to the close of the 2015 LPGA season. In many ways I think it was the best season ever. Every week we were treated to exciting and competitive tournaments. In fact, there were 7 tournaments that needed a playoff to decide the outcome. There were also 9 tournaments decided by one stroke, and 5 more decided by just 2 strokes. We had winners from 7 different countries. We had the USA make the biggest and most exciting comeback in Solheim Cup history.

Let me start by saying that 2015 was a spectacular year for LPGA rookies. I don't think there was ever another one like it. Nineteen of the 33 LPGA rookies will be retaining their playing cards for the 2016 season. That is 57.6%, up from 44.4% in 2014, and only 22.8 % in 2013 when only 8 of 35 players retained their cards.

I know Joanna Coe. She's a pretty cool girl. She grew up at the course where I was first assistant for a couple years. Fun watching a 11 year old (phrasing?) improve over the years and move on to playing professional golf. I think she'll crack it in one or two more years.

A Dream Come True for New LPGA Members

They played 90 holes over a grueling 5 day period, but it all ended Sunday with 20 players earning their category 12 playing cards. Simin Feng led wire to wire to claim medalist honors.

This comes as a surprise as they kept their relationship quiet, but Stacy Lewis and Houston's Gerrod Chadwell are engaged.

The 2015 LPGA season was full of surprises:

There were 17 different winners
There were winners from 7 different countries
Two winners were non LPGA members
Four players won for the first time
Four rookies were winners (including Brooke Henderson who became a rookie after her victory)
Rookies accounted for 6 victories
It was a year that was almost impossible to predict, but I did give it a try.

With the 2015 season in the books, I would like to look back at the players that I thought gave us the most surprising seasons, and those who disappointed.

Below I have shown those questions again. Let's see how well they were answered.
