This week the LPGA travels to the state of Alabama for the playing of the Yokohama Tire LPGA Classic. Mi Jung Hur won this tournament last year shooting a final round 66, to defeat runner-up Stacy Lewis by 4 strokes.

Alison Lee will be the only rookie on either Solheim Cup team. Kinda surprised that Paula got a captain's pick. At least in part a marketing based choice, rather than form. Not like the US is terribly deep anyway.

Speaking of surprises, Yani Tseng is on top of the leaderboard after 2 rounds? Doubt she's ready to start dominating again, but would like to see her in the mix come Sunday.

Rating The 2015 Rookies:

It has been almost four months since I last did a report card on this year's rookies.

I would like to change this up a bit this time, by strictly rating these girls on their chances of retaining LPGA cards for the 2016 season. Any successes or failures on other tours are not considered here. My only concern here is, are they safe for the upcoming season, or will they have to go back to qualifying school?

After a week off the LPGA is back in action this week with the playing of the Evian Championship

Hyo Joo Kim will be attempting to defend the title she won last year as a non LPGA player. Hyo Joo birdied the final hole and came out on top by one shot over Karrie Webb, who bogeyed that very same hole.

I'd think SC was worthy of it's own thread - not on at a good time for US people I guess, but pretty sweet for us euros

Really enjoyed the games today. Hot girls playing great golf - doesn't get much better than that. Lexie must be wondering wtf is going on when she's playing so great and still just AS.
