Bold selection. Not much of a resume but she'll be fun to watch.

Futcher hasn't had a great season but she did have 3 top 15s in majors including a T3. 3 missed cuts in her last 4 starts surely didn't help.

Pink Panther was lookin' good yesterday. I just love when she rushes her putts and misses them then gets all flustered. You can bet she takes that feisty-ness to the bedroom.

She's not a pro but did anyone see amateur Brooke Pancake a few weeks ago at that amateur event? Pretty sexy. Probably never see her again though... she played out of Alabama IIRC.

It's possible.

At this point I have no idea what to expect future-wise for Wie once she's done at Stanford. It's possible she doesn't have the drive (or the putter) to be the best.

Is there an age rule for Solheim team? Easy to say now but Thompson had better record than O'Toole regardless of last week's win. I'm guessing the anti-kid-on-tour sentiment worked against Lexi more than anything.

Probably doesn't matter. Euros are really weak and best from US should not be necessary.

I'm pretty sure Lexi was ineligible for this year's Solheim Cup team because she is not an LPGA tour member. LPGA requires its members to be 18.

It was reasonable for them to exclude her from membership at the beginning of this year. But after dominating last week, they'd be crazy not to make her a member, even though they haven't yet given her the standard exemption for winning a tourney.

The LPGA is not a healthy organization, having bled many sponsors, tournaments, and prize money over the past couple of years. Hopefully Lexi can move the meter for them as soon as possible.

I don't blame LPGA much for the macro forces shrinking the tour. But the 18yo "rule" IMO is beyond lame and is not even a rule (see: Morgan Pressel).

Wheee Solheim Cup week. Now if only I had a way to watch the coverage.

Anyway, I saw some pictures of Team USA dressed up for one of the functions - there were some truly epic tan lines on display. lol white ppl

two epic matches coming down the stretch here .. w/ USA scratching out an opportunity to salvage the session.

especially epic were putts by Creamer (on #17) and Pressel (on #18) in their match.

Europe still has a good chance to win. The Americans have more out of form players. Stanford, Wie, Inkster, and LOLKim have been all pretty poor. Lang and Hurst haven't done much. And Lewis really had a shocker Saturday morning but was much better in the fourball.

Combine that with the lousy weather predicted which should favor Europe, and you have a formula for a home win.

all-time singles results:

USA: 75.5 pts

EUR: 48.5 pts

it is just like the men in the Ryder Cup .. the USA own this portion of the competition and EUR is toast going into Sunday tied.
