I have watched the entire Fox telecast each day. Great tourney but a lot to improve on for Fox.

Also, as an average male golfer, I cannot get excited about a golf course of 6300 yards with very few forced carries into greens. 465 yard par fives. 350 yard par fours. 150 yard par threes. Women hitting wedges into half the greens. Women hitting hybrids from 170 yards. Women swinging like slow motion.

I understand that the defense of this golf course are the small, undulating greens, but, if I am any indication, most men golfers are not going to watch this type of tourney, and I don't think the LPGA can do anything about it.

Anyway, I have enjoyed the competition but cannot envisage my watching another LPGA tourney for a long time.

Hoping for a playoff!

This is the first LPGA event I can remember watching more than like 2 hours of in total and I hate to say it, but I'll probably only watch in the future when it's a bunch of hotties in contention.

I'm disappointed that I didn't get to watch very much.

According to the USGA highlight clip for today total attendance was ~ 135,000 for the week which is very solid, I can see them coming back for that kind of number.

If North Korea ever falls and integrates with the South they'll need to institute a quota system so there will still be a few American players.

young canadian girl. needs top 40 money list to secure her card under special exemption.

I think on the telecast they said that her finish earned her her card.

pretty sure it is not official but she has made enough to be in last years top 40 so most likely will this year

looks like she is $11K ahead of last year's 40th place moneylist. that's about 2.5% ahead ($459K vs. $448K).

bound to be some inflation as we get further from credit crisis and that horrible LPGA commissioner that almost killed the tour.

so i'm guessing brooke needs a bit more (one more cut made?) to make it for sure. not sure if british open counts as $$$$$ , but she's playing it. playing canadian open in vancouver in august..... monday qualifying in ohio today.

The LPGA moves to the state of Ohio for the playing of the Marathon Classic presented by Owens Corning and O-l.

Many of you may remember last year's exciting finish when Lydia Ko birdied the final hole to eek out a one stroke victory over So Yeon Ryu. Cristie Kerr finished 2 strokes further back.

The Marathon Classic announced last month a new 3 year agreement with the LPGA that extends through 2018. Since its inception in 1984 the tournament has raised $8.7 million for 140 northwest Ohio and southeast Michigan children's charities.

This will be tournament #18 of 32 on this year's LPGA schedule:

Yes, British Open money will count. The only money that would not count is if she is a sponsor invitee on foreign soil (meaning not in the U.S.), without a cut. The British Open obviously has a cut. The Asian tournaments later in the year have no cut.

That is correct. I saw the activity and figured that their might be some people here interested in woman's golf. I have media credentials and attend many of the LPGA events. I will be in Michigan next week and will try to post some more pics. I do not not advertise on my blog, so I am not making a single penny from it.
