Should narrow up the fairways a bit along with a few minor adjustments and host a major here in the future, nice looking course

Can't blame Wie for the loss, that's for sure. Went 2-2 even with the loss and went toe-to-toe with the hottest player on the Euro side for the full 18. That was a heck of a shot by Hedwall at 18.

Wie did just fine today. Anyone saying otherwise either didn't watch or isn't calable of anything other than LOL WIE. Acquitted herself as a captain's pick.

Was crazy to see them flying 635 yard par 5s in 2 because it was downhill, downwind, and way up at elevation. I think Wie hit a 7 iron 230 yards today.

I also thought the course was pretty nice and those greens seemed brutally hard to hold. Would also add a layer of complication to the game in having to calculate new club distance due to elevation. Seems like players at the Reno-Tahoe were coming up long or short a lot.

I was able to get out to Colorado Golf Club yesterday to watch most of the morning round. The course is beautiful, and the greens seemed incredibly difficult.

While the course is awesome its not that great for spectating. Lots of native / scrub areas around the tees and greens, and the course is really spread out. The tight walking areas were made tighter because they were renting those damn Doyle Brunson scooter things to morbidly obese people. Only Americans were renting them obv.

First thing I saw when I got there was Michelle Wie on the putting green. I studied her stance carefully and I must report I liked what I saw.

The best part was a group of Euros would start the stupid ole-ole chant, and then immediately get drowned out by a USA chant. I think my daughter's favorite part of the event was the USA chant.

The Ladies are in my town in Canada hoping to get out one day to watch.

there was a personal interest piece on that new Jimmy Roberts show about Lizette Salas. I didn't know much about her but really gained a hell of a lot of respect for her and her parents after watching.

I grew up playing junior golf with a bunch of entitled, rich asses who, quite frankly, thought they hit a triple when in reality they simply started on 3rd base. Love seeing good people get there by busting there rear ends.

I have played 2 other Coore/Crenshaw courses and also Pinehurst 2 after the redesign. They are outstanding courses that just seem to flow from T to green. in 100 years these guys are going to be legends of golf design IMO

Spent a day watching the CN Canadian Open at Royal Mayfair here in Edmonton last week and here are my thoughts on some of the women I watched/followed:

Natalie Gulbis - Wow, she has an AMAZING body and I don't care if she paid for it. Her face on the other hand....yeesh!

Paula Creamer - From seeing her on TV I expected her to be chubby but in person her body looks fantastic. Her face was just ok and she seemed a bit bitchy.

Michelle Wie - I have no idea why guys think she is so attractive and in person it just reinforced my opinion. She was very tall but super skinny, kind of looked like a toothpick with an olive on top.

Suzann Petterson - I always thought she looked pretty good on TV but in person she is really hot with a spectacular body, particularly her butt.

Karrie Webb - Not even remotely attractive and super bitchy.

Se Ri Pak - Meh, a bit thick in the legs and butt and not overly cute in person. You wouldn't look twice if you walked past her in the mall.


As for the rest of the field, we watched quite a few of them and nobody really jumped out at me as super hot. The only other thing I really recall is watching Laura Davies hit the ball, that woman can still bust them out there a LONG way. She sort of looks like a cross between Julia Childs and John Daly but much larger. We checked out her clubs while she was on the tee box one hole and she carries only one wood, a driver, and then all irons. She actually out drove Se Ri Pak(who hit driver) with a driving iron, was past Se Ri on the fly and ended up about 25 yards past it.
