Gabi Ruffels turning pro, I think she'll have a successful career.

How good are the 2021 LPGA rookies?

How do they stack up when compared to previous years?

Three sets of sisters have won LPGA tournaments. Here is why Jessica and Nelly Korda are the standout siblings.

Kordas are paired together and with Jin Young Ko in Ocala this week, how's that for star power!

Having the ANA back on the scheduled where it belongs was great. Huge win by Tavatanakit, not a complete surprise as she's shown that she has the tools to be a big winner.

Really happy to see that 62 out of Lydia Ko. I only caught part of the back nine but she looked so dialed in.

Tavatanakit is a crazy gym rat like DeChambeau. She def has effortless power. Just looking at her final round her 85% swing will be top 10 in distance.

Ko has def put up a number of good tournaments in a row. Was surprised to see Minjee Lee not do Minjee Lee things, aka back door top 10.

Edit: I was bored today so I looked up money won vs the PGA tour this week.

Place -- PGA -- LPGA

1st - $1,386 mil, $465k

10th - 209k, 59k

50th - $21k, $10k

A major vs a week before a major with what I am guessing is a weak field. It's getting better than before. Looks like LPGA flattens out the prize money a bit, which is def a good thing.

And to /rant, how does Nelly Korda not have a club deal? She is literally the perfect person to have sponsor your gear. If she doesn't get one, I don't know who else will be getting one, PXG not included.

Catching up on my recorded golf, man I love the Pacific swing. Prime time golf is awesome and I really enjoy the courses. So glad the ladies get to play Wilshire.

18th at Singapore Hannah Green hits approach about 8 inches from hole. Lydia Ko proceeds to hit her shot off of Green's ball and into the hole for eagle.

Problem is Green's ball was deflected about 6 inches further from hole, and she did not replace the ball prior to her putting. Hope I'm wrong and she is not penalized.

18 is an elevated green, judging by Ko's reaction of the ball going in the hole. If Hannah Green didn't see the deflection and nobody told her about it then it is not a penalty.

Yeah, ignorance is the best defense for her at this point. In a non COVID event somebody would obviously have informed her or her caddie. There were people watching that hole from the clubhouse, but they either could not inform Green/caddie, or elected to not say anything.

It's also possible Green does not know the rule, but her claimed ignorance of the infraction would cover that

Maybe the broadcast will discuss it tonight. I've never seen a ball moved by a competitor's ball not replaced in a televised event.

This is completely different than the Zach Johnson Colonial incident a few years back, where he did not replace his moved ball mark. Nobody had any obligation to inform him of his mistake, but fellow competitors will sometimes give the player a heads up.

Next month and a half (after a brief break) are going to be incredible with two majors, plus a match play event at Shadow Creek.

Also, lol the LPGA website has Amy Yang as the winner in Thailand, not Ariya. I mean, I get it, Yang has won there three times but not this past weekend.

I should have looked at the schedule better. The day I leave Vegas is the day the match play starts at Shadow Creek. Doubt they allow fans but would have been fun if they did.

da ****? at least it's a round robin format and Ciganda still gets to play, but, without knowing the details, that seems brutal

Ciganda taken out by Lauren Stephenson and that ends her week.

Will be interesting to see how the pace of play is next week at Olympic for the USWO.

I have had Ciganda multiple time in my group and I can confirm she is glacially slow, and this is without all of the false starts that she has had recently. Guessing they were put on the clock and then was given a bad time on likely multiple shots on the hole.

Morgan Pressel had a loss of hole penalty for slow play a few years back, so this is not unprecedented. But for it to happen on #18 seems a bit extreme. I wonder what discretion officials have to assess the penalty.

Danielle Kang v Ally Ewing was a great match yesterday, both players were clutch and played great.

It's a good thing, because that was almost the only match shown by the Golf Channel. It's like the other six players were scrubs almost not worthy of attention.

Shadow Creek is a pretty good venue for this event -- there are scoring opportunities but the greens can be diabolical. If this were a regular full field event I'd bet on 5.5 hour rounds.

Watching it this week actually increased my likeness of this course. Honestly this course is almost too hard for LPGA players that don't spin the ball that much.
