I have no idea what the field will look like but I'd guess it will be pretty decent given the number of players that live in Florida. Might be a little light on Koreans, those that went home may well stay there until the VOA and USWO.

How quickly we forget someone who is only 24 years old with 10 wins including 2 majors, including 3 and 1 in 2018.

Glad to see a top 10 for Ariya this week, maybe she can get back on form.

I wonder if she ends up making swing changes due to her new physique if those will address her issues with the driver.

Slightly smaller field too because of daylight issues. I think I read that it is 132.

Jutanagarn sisters out with COVID.

Watching the Saudi events on the LET, it really is amazing what you can do with infinite supplies of money. Sand everywhere outside the area.

I'm volunteering at the event this week. I work the pro-am tomorrow and the event on Friday and Sunday. I will be a walking scorer. My group for Friday is:

Annie Park
Sarah Schmelzel
Alana Uriell

No clue as to which player I get for the pro-am tomorrow. Sunday I am the 3rd group off of #1 so I will not be amongst the leaders at all.

They showed one shot of Schmelzel in the TV window yesterday (at least iirc, I wasn't watching closely) so guessing that means none for the group today.

You get what you pay for when it comes to volunteers. I switched groups before the round because people didn't show up. So yesterday:

AM round: Cyndy Clanton, Pernilla Lindberg, Jenny Shin

PM round: Lindy Duncan, Lauren Stephenson, Nathalie Filler

Yep, I took a PM round because they were short people. Good thing the course is an easy walk. One note for my Sunday round is LPGA is making everyone wear a mask at all times. Just crazy considering that we are outside and I am nowhere near the players, or I can be nowhere near the players if that is the case.

Cydney Clanton can hit the ball quite a ways but shockingly Jenny Shin was just about able to keep up with her. I heard about 10 f _ u _ c _ k _ s come out of her mouth on the day, refreshing to see!

During the afternoon loop Nathalie Filler is a local teaching pro that received a sponsors invite. She shot 85 Thursday but played much better yesterday and shot 74.

I really wanted to go watch Muni He after my am round. I did see her tee off on 14 when I was on 16 green, that was it. I have the 5th group off of the tee on #1 tomorrow (barring any certain changes).

My group for tomorrow:

Xiyu Lin
Jin Young Ko
Nanna Madsen

Should be fun to watch.

Lackluster performance by all in my group. I was kinda surprised how short JY Ko hits it. She was in the 240s all day, shortest of the group. The best part was me getting there early to watch a Bianca Pagdanganan range session. Was awesome.

Brittany Lincicome the latest positive test. Out for the VOA but may be able to play the USWO.

Most of the ladies are wearing more layers than I would be if I play on Saturday (projected high 40). Course looks nice though, other than the dormant rough.

Tons of star power on the leader board and three hours of coverage this afternoon, pretty damned good for a tournament with a small, weak field. Now I just have to decide whether to give it a screen or watch after the football games are over.

Playing in that weather for several days in a row has to be miserable. I can suck it up for 1 round but doing it for a week would get old fast.

Probably not a huge surprise but I was looking forward to seeing her play again.

Glad to see lots of TV coverage.

When she is off, she is REALLY off. But the difference between professionals and us, she still shot a +3 74.

Actually downloaded the Peacock app and watched about five minutes of coverage this morning before work got in the way. Video quality was better than expected over 4G, we'll see how it does via the smart tv app at home this weekend.

Mike Whan stepping down as commissioner. HUGE loss for the LPGA, you'd be hard pressed to name a commissioner of any sport that has done a better job.

Def a big loss. I can think of zero commissioners who are well thought of, except Mr. Whan.

I have been asked many times how the LPGA constructs their field lists every week.
In most cases they use the LPGA Priority List.

Here is the brand new 2021 LPGA Priority List (with a brief explanation of how they put their weekly fields together).

Yeah I saw the interview yesterday with him and the growth of women playing junior golf he thought was his best accomplishment. Up like 30-40%
That is amazing
