Im almost through the first two rounds. I'm like you that I recognize significantly less. Maybe two dozen or so. I know a few more because of the (now deleted) LPGA/JLPGA/KLPGA fashion thread on WRX.

After several changes to the 2020 schedule due to the Corona Virus, the LPGA is scheduled to resume its season on July 23rd in Ohio. Resume you ask? Yes, although it now seems like a lifetime ago, the LPGA actually did play four tournaments earlier this year.

I'm still scheduled to be a walking scorer at the event in Tampa in mid-November. MAYBE it will be back to normal by then.

We knew the LPGA would restart the season in ohio. What we didn't know is that it would be with a brand new tournament at the famed Inverness Club.

Stuff like this is why So Yeon Ryu is probably my favorite professional golfer.

So Yeon Ryu Wins Korean Women’s Open, Makes Staggering Contribution

Can we please get the KLPGA on TV, or at least on YouTube consistently?

Return to ladies golf week!

I will be curious to see if any of the players decide to forego a caddy.

Finally getting around to watching the final round from Sunday. Turned it on as I was starting to make dinner and I swear the commentator introduced Jodi Ewart Shadoff as an "English muffin".

Caused a serious double take.

Check out this divot at 3.25 by a petite Asian female amateur. Now that is as pure of a strike as I have ever seen. One in ten thousand male amateur hacks have ever taken a pure divott like that. Most amateur are sweepers anyways, but it makes you realize just how different real golf is compared to that of those who've never had good instruction. I never took a divotunless it was a mishit and the ball was chunked. There is nothing better than watching a great divot.

I had Amy Olson as my fantasy pick this week. First relatively good pick I have had all year. Even better was that other person had Jodi Hyphen with a MC.

Troon delivering as expected. I didn't get to watch today's coverage yet since YouTubeTV didn't auto-record it for me. Looking forward to catching the finish in real time tomorrow.

Good stuff at the women's Open, Popov ranked #304 in the world and was caddying a couple of weeks ago. Now 3 shots up with 4 to play, hope she hangs on. Always a fan of an underdog story. If she wins the check will be 6x her lifetime earnings on the LPGA tour.

Very cool.

Great golf down the stretch. Best decision I've seen in a long time was taking putter on the 3rd shot on #18.

More out of left field British Open winner: Popov or Ben Curits? I'm going with Popov.

Tough call. Curtis was ranked lower (396th) but had full status on Tour that year after surviving Q school.

Both the men’s and women’s Open Championship can have unusual winners due to the vagaries of links golf. Remember 50 somethings Tom Watson and Greg Norman in the final group on Sunday in consecutive years?

Dang... didn't know Norman was in position to win in his 50s too.

The thing about Popov is she wouldn't have even been in the ARK event (where she finished in the top 10 to qualify for the BO) if it wasn't for Covid.
