I missed it, how did it go down?

She came up short after her tee ball rolled back down the false front. Pitched it too short, rolled back past her. Pitched it too short, rolled back, third try was far enough but not super close, missed the putt, tapped in for 6.

One more failed chip and she might have gone full John Daly.

Also, if Lexi could putt she could have shot 63 today. Looking super uncomfortable again.

I remember doing that at an old Donald Ross course around here. I was right of the green hitting 3 on the par 4. Hit it over, and then back again hitting 5 from the same spot I was hitting 3.

Just realized that I’m probably going to end up watching the weekend of the men’s US Open on mute. Just brutal commentating today. No really Joe Buck why don’t you tell us for the tenth time why she’s Jeong Eun Lee6. Azinger is Capn Obvious. Inkster can’t carry anything.

This week the LPGA moves to the state of New Jersey for the playing of the ShopRite Classic Presented by Acer. This tournament has a long history dating back to 1986 when it was then called the Atlantic City LPGA Classic.

Maybe you can explain her name Lee6 is she like the 6th in line of her family? Seems strange.

OK I googled it and never realized 6 players on the tour with the same name

I don't know much about naming conventions in Korea but it must be very common. Smart decision by her imo, I'm sure it helped her stand out on the KLPGA and it's a marketable brand given her success.

I don't have a problem at all with TV commentators explaining it, I just wish they wouldn't do it every fifteen minutes. That's one reason why I prefer the Golf Channel announcers over the Fox team -- TGC commentators call the LPGA on a regular basis and know more than 3 facts about most of the players. The Fox people (other than Juli Inkster) seem to get a sheet with a couple talking points about each of the contenders and they just repeat those since they don't know the players or the tour.

had a good chuckle at this as this was hank haney's entire ill-advised point. stupid to say it though true. i would have considered it a benign, weak attempt at humour. but not in today's PC social media world

i cheer for lexi but it's painful watching her, especially on anything that isn't a full swing on a long shot....... i'm wondering if playing the tips at a young age with her older brothers (one older for sure) cause her to overswing.
