Cink makes one important putt in his life and it ends up leading to his win against Tom Watson. I hate him for that.

I know it shouldn't be but that shadow is the only tiny bit of an excuse, pretty bad break for a shadow that small to be over the hole at that exact time.

And yeah,

Also: I would watch a lot more LPGA coverage if the tour or the Golf Channel had any kind of online video presence. I suppose the PGA tour isn't much better but at least they do some -- it sure is nice watching coverage from the majors and a few other tournaments over the net.

This. There is like three minutes of video available on today's play and it's mostly just Rich Lerner and Judy Rankin.

I watched a bit of the match play last night. It's kind of cringeworthy how much attention the white American girls get who are constantly getting their asses handed to them by the Koreans.

One of those girls (Vance?) looked really good from behind but pretty bad from the front. She was like the first "butter front" I've seen.

Women on TGC right now. Looking good. Michelle Wie is a butterputter.

Bump for U.S. Women's Open. Live from Kohler, Wiscahnsin. Using a combination of holes from the two courses at Blackwolf Run. Coverage today and tomorrow on ESPN2/ESPN3. Expect lots of Wieeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee (at least until she shoots 81 today).

Course looks to be in absolutely fantastic shape, which is not a given with the way the weather has been.

thanks for the bump....

my interest in LPGA has finally become "check scoreboard for creamer, lexi and wie" and not much else. maybe i should check out some of these spanish girls. liked the looks (swing, demeanor and beauty) of that venezuelan girl who was leading last week.

In related news, there'll soon be nudie pics of Suzann Pettersen in ESPNs Body Issue.

Last edited by MinusEV; 07-06-2012 at 04:29 AM. Reason: Which of course means 'technically nude, but not actually showing anything'.

Serious lack of Gal gams on today's coverage.

Pettersen kinda melting down, that's a bunch of bad shots in a row

Every time I flip over they mention the pace of play, which is obviously way behind given the extra TV coverage. What's the reason for slowing down?

Tough setup today. Only 6 players shot par or better, average is like 78.

Thank goodness for ESPN3, happy to be able to watch the conclusion.

Hardly feels like I have to even bother to watch tomorrow (I'll be on the golf course anyway) with NYC having a 6 shot lead. She's so steady, someone's going to have to go nuts to have a chance.

wow, that's got to be one of the most amazing rounds ever today. did anyone else near the lead even have an ok round?

i liked dottie and annika saying usa girls getting out-worked(LOL at the asians are all at the range at 7 am and still there at 7 pm.... but great brutal honesty)

who was that player whose brother told her she's hitting too many cuts? was that petersen?

I saw like 4 shots at some point today while I was flipping from the men's coverage and it makes me cringe to watch how unfundamentally sound some of their putting strokes are. I wish I could remember who it was, but it was like she was using her body rotation to hit her putt. Is there THAT much of a lack of parity throughout the field? I haven't watched women's in a long time.

Yeah, that was Pettersen.

Definitely a lot of variation in putting strokes. Even Kerr (who is a great putter) had a rough day.

She looked amazing yesterday, that skirt was damn near indecent. Solid result too. Choi's 65 yesterday in those conditions might be GOAT LPGA round along with Annika's 59.

Choi's Sunday round reminded me a bit of Kite's 1992 US Open final round. Both could have easily been toast, but somehow got the huge breaks at the right time to break through.
