This tournament was won this week by Rachel Rohanna. Unfortunatly for her, it only moved her up to #11 on the Symetra Tour money list (only the top ten get their 2018 LPGA playing cards).

These are the ten players that we will be seeing full time on theLPGA Tour in 2017:

1- Benyapa Niphatsophon
2- Hannah Green
3- Celine Boutier
4- Nanna Koerstz Madsen
5- Yu Liu
6- Eyrnne Lee
7- Lydsey Weaver
8- Anne-Catherine Tanguay
9- Emma Talley
10- Katelyn Dambaugh

This week (after an unexpected week off) the LPGA moves to South Korea and begins its Asian swing with the playing of theLPGA KEB Hana Bank Championship.

In 2016, Carlota Ciganda came from five-strokes back of 54-hole leader Alison Lee and defeated her in a playoff with a birdie on the first extra hole to capture her first victory on the LPGA Tour.

This week the LPGA moves to Taiwan for the playing of the Swinging Skirts LPGA Taiwan Championship (formerly the Fubon Taiwan LPGA Championship). Many of my readers may remember last year's exciting finish when Ha Na Jang held off a charging Shanshan Feng and came out on top by a single stroke.

evian scores being cancelled made sense - i think - but not sure why they didn't keep 72 holes and play monday if necessary. maybe it was addressed in article... anyway, "fake major" to start with so it's par for the course.

the korean situation is much more interesting...... what was the actual problem with the fringe? was it a case of where it was hard to tell what was green and what was fringe? i would say that will be normal playing later in the year in korea...... i think golf rules need to be a bit less restrictive. assuming someone caught that it was fringe at that time then simply put your ball back..... people say "oh, but you could game the situation". but i say, just keep track of how often players end up doing this. if it's a habit then speak to them about it.

This week the LPGA travels to Malaysia for the playing of the Sime Darby LPGA Malaysia. Shanshan Feng will be trying to defend the title she won last year (and two of the past 3 years) when her -17 under par score was 3 shots better than runner-up Suzann Pettersen.

So apparently it was hard to tell between fringe and green. What they did was go out and paint white dots during the first round so players could tell the difference. Yada Yada people later were at an advantage/disadvantage so they scrapped it. Horrible.

There are 3 cuts of grass in this picture. While I can see a random make the mistake but these are pros and wiping a days worth of scores because 4-8 girls are idiots with idiot caddies is absurd. No different than DJ bunker/ non bunker issue.
