Only other pic I have is Dusty hitting out of the fairway bunker on 15:

Definitely had a blast today, even after playing terrible after the 5th hole. Dusty and Brent are great guys to play golf with, and really solid players. We'll definitely have to do it again soon.

Final results of Inaugural 2+2 Meet Up Championship:

I haven't played since Aug/Sept so I definitely need to knock the rust off before heading out with you guys. But I'm hoping to do that very soon.

Had a great time with you guys yesterday. Thanks again for getting that together; it was a lot of fun.

Was thinking about the round yesterday, and while we were talking about how few true birdie holes there are out there, most of the par 4s we're having a mid to short iron in. The 72.9 rating seems right on. Overall I really like Longbow and it's in really nice shape right now.

Kzy/Rise - I'm free to play Tuesday/Wednesday/Friday if you guys wanna try to get another group together

And yeah longbow is tricky around the greens and on the green....I couldn't believe how hard it was to lag putt but I think it was the changing conditions on Friday that was trolling me

I'll let you know tomorrow. I know I work 5 days next week, just not sure what days. Definitely want to get out there again as soon as possible, you're a good group of guys to play with.

was texting with kzy and looks like we are going to try to get out on Tuesday sometime when there's a gap. Any of you guys free to play?

We filled our group tomorrow but I'm a little disappointed in the lack of effort by Tuq/EC and others to join our group especially when kzy can hook it up on a fun course!

I'd love to get out with you guys. Problem is my schedule hasn't matched up with yours. I work in Prescott Valley Tuesday - Saturday. Half the Sundays I'm at Chase Field with the family. Mondays I drop the kids off at school at 8:40 and pick them up at 1:50, then bowl at 6. So besides some Sundays, I just haven't had the free time.

Luckily bowling ends next Monday and school is over in a few weeks so Mondays will be opening up.

It's not as though I've been avoiding playing with you guys. I just haven't been playing at all. I only played 4-5 times in 2014. I really need to step it up a bit this year.

Yeah I was playing 75-100 rounds a year as recently as 2012. Then for some reason after I moved out here from NC late in 2012 I quit playing as much. Probably a combination of not having my regular group of 10-12 guys to play with, losing all my old hookups, and further deterioration of my knee. But now you've gotten me wanting to play. Maybe I'll get a sunrise round in this Sunday....or maybe hit Vistancia on my way home Saturday afternoon since I only work half a day.

Vistancia is legit and rates should be dropping soon...we play out there in the summer for $25 usually

+1000000000

Even though I'm spending most of this year retooling my swing, I have to get on the course at least once every two weeks to re-energize.

Btw guys how did the round go yesterday?

Played a skins game and Durango cleaned up, I was the big loser w/ only 1 skin. Wasn't too bad though, only lost $14. If I would have counted them all I don't know if I would have broken 100.

I think I might take it easy on playing the next week or so and just do nothing but drills. I've been videoing my swing and my early release/casting is just making it impossible for me to have any consistency. You should see the videos, it's pretty hilarious. I have like the complete opposite of what lag should look like. If anyone really wants to see them I can post them.

I did find a drill that for the first time is actually allowing me to hold my angles on the downswing. It's the "wall lag drill". I'm seriously considering just doing it 4 hours a day for the next week and then seeing how I play. I also think the only practicing I'm going to do at the golf course is just short game and putting practice.

I'm looking to play this coming week sometime Thurs 5/7 through Saturday.

I put in some good work this week and am feeling way way better about my path to being a great ball striker.

KZ- if it's anything that I've learned about the golf swing over the past few months- and this is huge with lag too- you need to forget about the right side of your body (ESPECIALLY your right hand) from the top of the swing.

I made a lot of small improvements over the past month or two but this past week was when it finally "clicked" how to think/feel into impact. Basically spent two weeks working without my right hand on the golf club and I'm finally slotting it and releasing the golf club the way it was meant to be used.

I can play just about any day this week
