I'm a Quintero fanboi and it's an absolute no-brainer if you live on the WEST SIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIDE like ec_outlaw and I think 1-2 others who post here from time to time. Just so damned far for me though, and I live more or less central.

durango, saw my Desert Forest member friend this morning and he mentioned how perfect the course is and we need to play soon. If that happens maybe you could join us. You're unbelievably spoiled golf-wise though so don't know you'd want to pay $54 or whatever but if the greens are as good as they were a few weeks ago (he said they are) then they would have to give Quintero a run for their money. Absolutely perfect.

(And yeah, that course isn't exactly center of town either...)

Great pics. Mule one was lol.

I live near 101 and 7th st so Quintero isn't really more than 30-35 min drive max and similar for desert forest. The sleeper that is right off 101 is silverleaf...that's where I would go if I had huge money and wanted to be close to town.

I might be down to take that invite or try to get you out somewhere. We always talk about it but we def need to grab a bunch of beers and get at least a 4 some out somewhere. Now is the perfect time actually with the low rates everywhere!

I'm still down for an outing if we can get something together. But tuq and durango, you guys can't give me but so much **** if I can't play from the tips like you guys. Us short knockers can't handle it from back there.

If nothing else, another $20 round at Vistancia would be great. And dollar beers? Yes please. I'd also be down for a trip to Quintero. But I'm only really available on Saturday afternoons and Sundays....some Mondays too.

I played Eagle Mountain today for $29. Greens were sandy and some of the fairways were brown but overall it wasnt in Terrible shape. I don't think I would play here again, especially if it was more expensive, but it was fun to try something new. There are some amazing views and beautiful Homes.

I can't believe some of the deals that are out there right now. I'm gonna check out McDowell Mountain sometime soon. I'm definitely open if anyone cares to play or we want to get a group thing going.

If u like the houses on eagle mountain...u should see some of the ones on firerock, pretty sick. McDowell mountain is okay at best...I would play a bunch of places over there. Go check out vista verde for prolly similar price and much better views/conditions/layout

Just finished up at Mcdowell Mountain. First time playing there and I have to say I enjoyed it a lot more than Eagle Mountain. The clubhouse is beautiful. It feels like a place you could go watch NFL on Sundays. Per Durangos suggestion I'll probably check out Vista Verde next week but I'll definitely be
Playing MM again.

Damn surprised you like mcdowell mountain...it must have been in good shape!??? It's definitely way better after the mickelson redesign but it still feels shoved into the plot of land to me but to each their own.

I might be heading out to Quintero again early Sunday for a rematch comp round

Yet to play MM, but really want to having been out there a lot when it was Sanctuary and they've apparently made it a lot more playable.

Presumably they also did something with the clubhouse too because the old one was pretty unspectacular - not that I care that much about that though.

quintero fell through tomorrow so we found a nice deal to go check out Raven Verrado tomorrow for $18 at like 12:30. Never played out there but heard good things about it and they punched like 5 weeks ago so course should be back in pretty good shape. As always will give a TR.

Played there yesterday. It's in pretty good shape considering they just went through aeration. I really enjoy the back 9, it's the course I've played the most in the past year.

They told us they aerated 4-5 weeks ago so hoping the greens are rolling okay....granted we got a hot deal
On golfnow for $18

Durango paying for golf? Unacceptable.

Yeah we got a 3:00 friday for $15 there. Anytime you can play Verrado Raven for <$30 I think it's a fair price.

Yep, it's definitely a rare occurrence...our main connection guy is up at his cabin in forest highlands (tough life)

Verrado was real nice. Better shape than we expected and really liked the lay out. Probably won't play there a lot due to the 40 mile drive from my house but for $18 it was well worth checking out.

Greens rolled fine, not perfect but fully healed from aeration. A few spots of aerification around greens but nothing that really affected play. Shot even on the front and then got way too drunk on the back nine and couldn't do anything right.

Apparently the $3 vodka/lemonades the cart lady was slanging us didn't go well with all my previous drinks and didn't eat much food before and the heat...I was doneso

I take it no one has been crazy enough to play the past few days? Went out and played the Raven Tuesday but with the heat and being stuck behind the rudest fivesome, we didn't even finish 9.

That sounds brutal...raven south mountain right? How were the conditions?

We are playing Aguila tomorrow morning around 7 am for like $23 to ride. Heard it's back in perfect shape and as said many times ITT our group really enjoys the layout and getting the chance to rip driver on basically every hole is fun for a change

Yep South Mountain. Dorado is too far for me to make after work. I was surprised at how good of shape it was in considering past years they have let it get pretty bad.

Yeah my coach is one of the owners there (Tyler), I think their marketing is silly but their knowledge is great and the lessons I've taken have always been productive. Some people may not like the stats minded approach but it helps me a lot

Watching US girls Junior AM is getting me pumped up...my buddy's cabin is right behind 14 tee where we stay on the meadow course... we will be playing both courses at forest highlands, seven canyons and pinewood at the end of September!

If you have never really seen forest highlands tune in, it's one of my favorite spots in AZ hands down

Trip Report: Kearny CC

Today I flew out to Kearny to play a round at Kearny CC.

They gave us a special rate.

The course was nearly in peak shape so we made sure to play 90d rule.

As you can see, it played pretty wide open.

Fairways were extremely narrow so it was important to leave the big sticks in the bag or else you were hiking into the desert.

Hey, we can't all be Durango
