angel park is like the upscale muni out here, but i dig it. its usually well kept but gets a ton of play.

painted desert every hole seems dead straight and boring. not a fan of this course at all.

sienna has 45million bunkers but is a fairly nice course, however the out of town rate is WAY too high at it so I would pass.

rhodes plays pretty easy and isn't bad at all. have nothing good or bad to say about it i guess.

badlands from the back tees is a MF. nice course, go with it (just ask for the two OLD 9s that way you get to experience it how it was designed..the new 9 is very easy.)

Sorry I meant anything besides these courses as we have all played them. Your right about Sienna become very pricey

Bears Best and TPC Las Vegas are in the area.

Both will be pretty expensive though.

thats really good for out of towner bud...**** i pay that much from time to time ha.

guess you're stuck with bears best then!

if you want to drive a bit north up the 95 silverstone and paiute are up there..silverstone is sort of like rhodes, paiute is in the middle of the desert and absolutely amazing (my home course(s))

We usually end up getting
Badlands for $50
Tuscany $50
TPC I negotiated $100 last year
Siena $119.00
Rhodes Ranch $70
Painted Desert $46.00

Bear's Best was great when I played it last week. Paid $150.

I had never seen so many rabbits and pigeons on a golf course than at Angel Park. It was also sloooooooooooooooooooooooow at just over 5 hours Friday afternoon.

Tuscany was alright out towards the lake. It has some elevation changes, and a few neat holes, though some are a little bland/straight.

Yeah we had the rabbit issue last year and my buddy in the other cart accidentally hit one. It wasnt dead so he had to driver over it again. He felt so bad and when we told the marshall. He said it is so common they just send out a bunny cleanup on aisle 1 .

Also thats what I like about Tuscany. Also nice finishing hole

I got a sandwich from the drink cart lady on sat at Angel Park and she goes "be careful with that, leave it in the cart, ok?" Being pretty new to golf, I'm like "is that a rule or something?" she goes "you know, because of the birds".

Also, theres a hole on Palm (10 or 11 I believe, the par 4 with the water all along the left side and the hole tucked behind it) that has birds all over the left side of the fairway every single time.

Question about golf in Vegas....we have a group going out for a bachelor party at the end of April. There are 5 of us from the group that want to break away and get a round in Saturday morning. My question is, are there any public courses that allow for fivesomes? We don't really want to break up into groups of 2 and 3, we're thinking it would be lots more fun to all play together. We are leaning towards either Badlands or Las Vegas National (for its closeness to strip), but I don't think either will allow for all 5 of us to play together. Any suggestions are appreciated.

If you tell them its a bachelor party No way in heck. I have seen it done but you must keep up to the group ahead of you. If this was a weekday you would have a chance being that it is saturday morning I say no hope in hell

Actually, called Badlands at they agreed to let us play as a fivesome. They said we have to keep up pace with the group ahead and not let groups play through all day, but it should be ok. Looks to be a pretty sweet track from what I've seen online

It is very nice and rarely are you hitting a Driver. Target golf but very nice.

House on right of first hole is Celine Dions

How is that Angels Park par 3 course? Anyone try it out at night? Seems like it'd be fun for my wife and I to do...

Also, what are some of the good walking courses around?

It's nice, but most of the holes are pretty short. Most if not all of the holes are supposed to be recreations of famous holes, if you like that sort of thing. Although it's lighted, it closes pretty early (8pm or 9pm I believe), and they only have 9 of the 12 holes lighted.

That is the only one I Know. Best rounds I like are in Mexico were you can walk but must take a caddy.

No offense, but I absolutely hate when they let fivesomes play. They NEVER keep up with the pace of play. Say hello to a 5.5 hour round. Especially at a course like Badlands if you guys aren't very good.

Since it is a stag I agree. Though I have seen twosomes and threesomes play slower than a foursome. As long as they keep up to the group ahead of em....

by the way, if there's anyone in Vegas who wants to play, hit me up - I need some golf buddies. I'd like to play every Sunday morning if I can...to keep it cheap, I'm going to walk Las Vegas Golf Club a lot, but i'm up for trying a more expensive course every now and then.

Aliante is only $35 after noon for locals...and that's with a cart
