You never go wrong playing Paiute. Great deal 36 holes and lunch . Chimera (Tuscany) is always a favorite as its good for all levels

Going out for a Bachelor Party 2nd weekend of March Madness.

Planning on flying in on Tuesday night and playing 36 at Paiute on Wednesday. Got time for 1 more round for Thursday morning, time isn't a huge constraint. Sounds like Wolf Creek is worth the drive?

I don't think it's an absolute must play. It's different for sure and think everyone should play it once.

Fully agree; awesome to see once but I have no intention of seeking it out again

I will say that it's infinitely easier the second time you play it. There are lines off of the tee in order to stay in the fairway that you need to know.

Golf booked. Playing 36 at Paiute on Wednesday then Rio Secco Thursday morning. Got an open spot if anyone is out there. March 22 and 23.

Played a tourney that overlapped a poker trip last month.

Revere - Concord

Was in good condition, gps carts, pleasantly surprised coming from sea-level, had to adjust distance, took 2nd shooting 82 (hcp flighted). Found the course to be a bit too easy off of the tee due to the canyon nature of the holes and shots left/right able to kick back into the fairway.

$30 Uber from strip/$35+ back to strip

Would play again.

it's across from the Avi Resort in Laughlin. Where is Avi Resort...about 20 minutes away from Harrah's to the south (directions available on request).

Beautiful place and the practice areas were all a lush green (the driving range is included with your greens fees and you hit off of grass!). Greens fees are reasonable and the course was not over-crowded considering the time of year.

I just thought I would mention this place for someone looking for an alternative to the over-priced and over-crowded Las Vegas golf scene this time of year. Laughlin ain't Vegas, but u can still get your drink & gamble on there if u were looking for an alternative golf get away place to go.

This thread has pretty well died off but I'll give it a shot anyway. I'll again be in town over Thanksgiving(11/23 - 11/30) and I'm bringing my clubs. Nothing is booked yet but I'm hoping to line up 1 or 2 rounds while I'm there. Anyone around and want to get out and play? I've got no issues with booking as a solo but it's always fun to meet new folks and put faces to names.

I'm out there in January. When Dominic was more active on here I would go golf with him. But I agree this thread is pretty much dead.

Yup I still remember when you told this CDN to stay oiff the strip for golf trips at the Boulder Station, Southpoint and Suncoast and we used golfnow for great rates . Vegas has become a huge ripoff for Golf and everything else. Just got back from a Biz trip and the prices were outrageous

It's not just Vegas though. Golf everywhere has gotten way more expensive since covid. I can't speak to Tuscon, but the Phoenix area has gotten outrageous as well. Courses I was paying $35 to play a few years ago are now $70+. The nicer courses that you were $150+ still had the occasional hot deal for $60 or so. Now those courses are $300 and the "deals" are for $199. And they stay full!! I'm not going to stop playing, but I've definitely scaled back on the quality of the courses I play most often. I have a Canadian buddy who is a snowbird and the community he lives in near me has 4 courses. Wasn't long ago the rack rate during the winter/spring(prime season, like in Vegas) was about $80 and the guest rate was something like $45, so I rarely played anywhere else when he's in town. Now the rack rate is up to $130 and the guest rate is pushing $100. We'll be golfing together quite a bit less this year, lol.

That said, there is still value to be found. Tomorrow I'm playing off a $24.99(walking rate) hot deal on GolfNow. It's a lower tiered course to be sure, but it's still a decent enough track and is in good condition. Sure I'd rather be playing somewhere nicer but I can't roll like that. Gotta take the deals whenever I can. Plus, when it's 65 and sunny in mid November, I'm not too worried about the course. I'm just happy to live somewhere golf doesn't shut down for the winter.

Someone I know who works in the Vegas poker industry has been inviting me out to their weekly "group outings" that move around the city. I'm assuming they get a discounted group rate bringing probably 20+ people, I know he can't be paying extreme prices based on assumed income. I need to ask him the cost, I haven't played since the APT event at Revere (which was in really good shape last summer).

I never realized Phoenix has gotten that bad as well. Damn pre covid we booked a house there and the golf was reasonable as well

Looking at Vegas prices for next week....they really stick it to the non residents don't they? $80 vs $229 at Paiute for example. For the most part you don't see resident / non resident pricing around Phoenix.

Last time we were at Pauitee pre covid they had a golfapoolaza deal 36 holes and lunch weekday for under $150 now its $354

I'm coming out Dec 12th-16th because I won a WPT freeroll seat. Assuming I win that thing, the only time I'll have for golf will be Sunday morning before the start of the FT(4pm). Considering I'll be renting clubs, I think the Paiute 36 hole deal is the way for me to go. Right? That'll be like ~$600 all in for 36 holes and clubs and transportation. ****ing outrageous now that I type it out. Maybe I'll just get hookers and go to Top Golf.

Assuming u r staying on the Strip, I'd go to Las Vegas National if u just want to get some golf in. Much closer and cheaper overall.

If u really want the desert golf experience then yeah Pauite is a good choice. But going all the way out there, playing 36 holes and getting back in time for your tourney is a lot to do unless u tee off super early.

Weekend rate plus rentals is pretty similar for 18 holes. Guess I'll just see how I'm feeling the day before. Hopefully I get rich the first two days and I'll go play Cascata.
