I personally couldn't care less if she played well or not. As ship said, this is just another data point in what is an ongoing conversation about whether women can compete with men on the golf course. And at the end of the day, whether she played well in
this event over these
three days really doesn't mean all that much.
Like, I have no doubt that
some women on
some courses can compete
some percentage of the time. Like Annika at Colonial. Or to a lesser extent Wie at the Sony. But on an ongoing basis (and not at golf courses tailored to the goal of women competing) this is a complete non story.
eta: Just imagine what the scores would be if they held an LPGA event (but set up like a PGA event) at, say, any of the TPC Courses, or Torrey, or Quail Hollow. The avg score would be well into the 80s.
